Eddie - looking forward to updates on the scleral lenses. I had the same scan done when considering LASIK and have a non pickleball related condition the means LASIK and regular contacts are not options. I have looked into scleral lenses online and had been thinking about as an option. Will look forward to hearing about your experience.

You mentioned a swing weight of 103 and twist weight of 7.07 for the Avoura; they advertise 110/7.76. Do you think there are inconsistencies with the weighted putty? Because that's quite a wide range.

Hey John! I’ve been thinking about this question as we’ve been going into 2025. Do you think that the added dwell time that we’re seeing from foam paddles is another potential solution to the paddle industry’s durability issues? I know that grit (spin) is generally the first thing to go on a paddle and that replacable faces from companies like Reload are a solution to this issue, but as more companies innovate and are able to build more durable foam paddles, could we see this as another potential option for consumers?
@65atBestPB10 күн бұрын
OMG … that cannon … yes you are on multiple watch lists. 😜 Made my day … screenshot pic for phone pickleball album. Pity the other reviewers … 2025 innovation of the year a few days into January. Can we pick who you bodybag at 200 mph?
@mwfielder10 күн бұрын
I think the dwell time on the Ethos Dunamis Pro is elite. I found the spin to be comparable to other "spinny" paddles I have despite the non-gritty feel. I think that surface (Arylate Carbon) is going to be a winner. I just don't know what the cost is and if it can be offered at a competitive price. Ethos is doing good at $200 (15% off with code), but there's a ton of good paddles at that price point.

Please consider filming a segment of your new ball cannon firing a pickleball during a PBCoR test. Probably don't want to fire a ball at 200 mph into a clamped paddle - your custom clamp may not survive the impact (even though it rotates). Can't wait to see the future listing of your residence: "Home includes ball cannon in the basement."

Question: I had a ball today that my opponent hit high over the net on my side in the kitchen with big backspin. I was in the kitchen waiting for it to bounce however it had so much backspin it bounced back to the opponents side of the net. Since I was standing right where the ball bounced, reached over the net and hit it. That created controversy legal or not legal. I though it was, the other team said no. We ended up replaying the point. So far I haven't been able to find in writing whether it is legal or not. Can yous help me out?
@dustin174710 күн бұрын
You can cross the plane of the net once the ball does. If you put your paddle across the net in anticipation, before the ball does, it's the other teams point. If you do it right, you can even reach over and hit the ball into the net.

Franklin is charging into core specs.. Hope the CCR replacement system gets used ASAP. That Rhapsody head is looking like a PADEL. paddle. Players Pickleball uses neck supports. Selkirk shoes, the pro version were reviewed by Dr Zack on KZbin and got a very good review.. Todd said in an interview after a win that she finally felt she was on a level playing field with the new Franklin paddle.. Also I don't blame QD as Selkirk only allowed their pros to play with a 008 even though they had others approved... I heard on another POD that their pros were not happy since almost none of them used a 008 before that tournament..
@feederchua10 күн бұрын
The QD thing is interesting cause you've got more than one angle here. Yes you could blame the 008, but considering how quickly he got the proton paddle, how he's been putting up clips of him testing joola paddles too AND selling selkirk prototypes... it'd difficult to not see thr 008 debacle as just an excuse for jumping to another sponsor.
