I was a big fan of Dean Makenko and got to see Joe and him tag in Japan . I love guys who bring shooting and logic into wrestling .

Karl Gotch compared Dean Malenko to a daffodil in an interview and mentioned that he used to cry when it came to shooting, Joe backs that claim up here.

This was an unexpected pleasure. I’d heard of “Dean’s brother” but never got any details or stories. Nice to hear he did alright with the Plan B stuff his dad mentioned.

Word is that Joe is the more potent shooter of the two . These guys are average sized guys , maybe 5’8”? I loved that they were so skilled that despite being undersized it was easy to believe they posed a danger to heavyweights

Its a damned shame that Jr Heavyweight Championships did not have any cache . Jerry was one of the last Jr Heavyweight World Champion to be celebrated . Joe should have been a celebrate Jr Heavyweight / Cruiserweight in the States like his brother could have been if WCW could have recognized a good thing when they saw it .

Wow. Where do you guys find these elusive shoots? Any chance you’ll get Wacholz (Nailz)? Talk to Nord about it

That guy is more than a tad off

@@pooddescrewch8718 lol no he isn’t. He’s a good dude. He was 200% the most desired, elusive shoot interview for the past 25 years, by FAR. It isn’t even remotely close. There was a bidding war over him this summer between all of the shoot channel heavyweights, ie: WSI, Hannibal, Boston Wrestling, etc etc, but he never took the bait. Finally this year he wound up signing a contract with Highspots, and he did his first official shoot in June, but you have to pay for it on their website. Total BS. There’s a brief free clip on KZbin, where he talks about first being brought in to discuss the Nailz character outline. He’s a normal, rugged, rural Minnesota guy. He sells luxury trailers & RVs, and is close with Nord, Darsow, Norton, etc, all the MINN boys. He’s quiet & keeps to himself

Buddy Rogers was hugely unprofessional . He only cared about getting himself over abd he would do that by hurting a lot of guys . Another thing is that when he came into a territory he brought an entourage of wrestlers with him that had to be out over . It pissed a lit of the guys off
