I have a "range belt" that would double as my "War Belt" if needed. It's what I go to the range with. It's what I train on. I run two 5.56 mags, two 9mm mags, a dump pouch, pistol holster and a small bag that holds gun cleaning stuff, lubes and parts... If the SHTF I won't need to change a thing on it. The rest of the fun stuff goes on my PC and some optional leg panels

DZ Rig or similar belt kit as commonly seen in the Ukraine/Russia War would be my preference as a civilian. The belts in the video are optimized for being vehicle mounted, short missions, or range practice. Now that I'm past my 20's I would rather utilize belt kit to put more weight on my hips rather than my spine if I load up my shoulders.
@CzechSixTv3 күн бұрын
1,000,000% this!⬆ I've got a bunch of EDC and inner/outer belts, some with MOLLE some without. They're great for the range or your average training class but I'd never call one a "war belt". Outside of vehicle borne operations and CQB they simply pale in comparison to an LBE set up. I basically replicated the PLCE/DZ Rig/Jungle Kit with an HSGI Sure Grip and DAG Mosquito Y harness. It's infinitely more comfortable with 6-8 mags plus sustainment on it than any of the cool kid belts with just 3 mags and a pistol. It can still be stripped down to the bare essentials or augmented with a plate carrier/chest rig as needed.

I jumped on the kore as soon as it came out. From personal experience, it takes so much abuse. Mine hasn't had any issues. I'll never need to snap in. The thing for me is the ability to adjust the belt as my body changes throughout the day.

The Ciguera Emissary Velcro is my EDC belt along with the matching Battlewagon that's part of my emergency/get-home truck kit but my main battle belt is a Blue Alpha Battle Belt Lite on HSG Laser Sure-Grip Slotted pad belt. I use the pad to add a bit of armor below my carrier by adding some 4in Velcro to the inside for Safe life Side Panel armor. I have 1 FRAS panel velcroed to the back of the belt protecting my spine, 2 Hyperline panels wrapping each side to the front. The other FRAS serves as a groin protector velcroed to the back of the main compartment of my LBT waist pack(yeah, I wear a pack up front below my carrier)

I have a love hate relationship with the NextBelt. I have several colors, but I have 2 that are broken. I have a grey one that's my daily carry/wear belt and the polymer has cracked through in one spot. Its still very secure a rigid but its crunchy inside the fabric. My black one I got to wear as my duty belt as a LE. I my outter belt was my issued safari with glock, 1 double mag carrier, one single hand cuff pouch, and a small flash light/holder and 5 belt keepers. I wore most of my gear on my vest. That belt twisted and warped and cracked in several placed within 6 months and it lost a screw. I wore my duty belt very tight bc I didn't want it flapping around, but those nextbelts dont hold up for duty work.

Look I've had a few "duty" gun belts, im only a 12b so im not some super high speed guy like johns career but ive use a few and the blue alpha belt (the warrior poet one) is fantastic best bang for buck one i used for a long time, great support, molle kept rigidity the inner belt never got bad looks from senior ncos. BUT if you are spending money the shaw concepts belt is the best by far and with the 2.0 out you can choose which kind you want the normal market style or shaws original style its by far the best one ive ever used, its got the inner belt as the kobra buckle (you can take a shit without needing to undo your whole belt its the little things) and the outer belt mounts with velcro and ghook easy to adjust and rock solid. i had the shaw original one since i like to keep the space in the back clear since even though im thankfully not route clearace we are in jltvs/rgs often enough to decide not to have it especially since we dont have pistols issued to us. Ive got a blue alpha small medkit with a flatline fiber cos dump pouch underneath it a tq holder and jsta pouch on there i could easily carry more and still fit a pistol if need be. Really one of the best

its funny, on one of my work tables in my garage i have a bunch of the stuff needed for my "war" belt waiting to get assembled. was waiting to find some mag pouches and a med kit i really liked to complete the set. its one of the cobra buckle inner-outer belt designed that is a knockoff of a much more expensive belt system marketed by another channel, run by Dev guys...not gonna name them specifically, but they get hate on the internets for their....unique...optic/laser mount.

Love your stuff but I feel like you guys always use kit that represents high speed military dudes. This kit doesn’t really apply to civilians because in a bad scenario we would need way more sustainment gear, way more ammo and definitely side plates for that carrier. This is the absolute bare minimum you would have and it almost certainly wouldn’t be enough since we won’t have resupply or support from other elements. Would love to see you guys talk about that kind of stuff since the average civilian would need more like a marine grunt setup instead of this.

my gear is basic and cheap from amazon lol, but im private security and we tend to sit in this weird sorta grey area between cop and civ, most dont even consider things like medkits or turniquets, which honestly after 5 years of experience doing the job i'd say you're stupid if you dont have either, lot of our job sites are remote single guard postings so theres no one around to help if something happens. When i did my 5 years i was a lot younger and thus dumber, i never had any sort of medkit or anything so thank god i never had any issues on remote sights cuase would of been bad for me otherwise.

What is the purpose of the “war belt?” In modern war, now (not counter insurgency) you want to carry about 12 magazines on a LBE or a belt w/ a 6 point yoke. Why a pistol? A battle belt with 3-4 mags and a pistol is for what purpose…?
