Ive been a fan a long time and i always thought he was unfairly lucky to be that much talented in two different things! But now, ive started to realise, his songwriting and guitar playing are related and not different sets of skills, his selection of notes and his selection of words comes from his naive and sensitive soul that he speaks so honestly about!

@@Mathias9n when I had just broken up after a 7 year relationship I was with my friends one day and it hadn’t ever happened to me that I cried out of nowhere in public places every 20 min… New Light was already out so it came on someone’s playlist, I’ve never called myself a JM fan, I’m more of a ‘Continuum’ fan lol but a happy vibe song from Mayer was all I needed at that moment so I had it on repeat for months after. After this song got me crying (as everyone on the comment section) I totally get why he puts new light after one of the saddest songs on the record…

Hasta mis vecinos comenzaron a amar a John, siempre me dicen: "me encanta la música de ese hombre que canta como ronquito, me encanta como se escucha la guitarra. Es muy relajante".
