I've listened to this man since I'm 15 years old. I've grown throughout my life and his songs have always spoken to me in ways no other singer/songwriter can. Now, years after my fiancé cheated on me and left me a broken man, this song is what I needed to hear. So thank you , Mr. John Mayer, for writing your music.

I'm 34 man, 35 next month, and I'm only just getting married this summer. The hard part is getting your shit together, which you say you do, so finding someone will happen when it happens. If you see someone you find attractive always say hi. You never know if that's the "right one" coming by.

I think everyone needs 1 heart break in their life. It's awful to say but it's true. Anymore than a single heart break is a cruel hand to be dealt. But with one, you learn what not to do when someone gives you their heart. From that pain, you learn you don't accept someone's heart unless you give yours in return. Heartbreak is always a sad byproduct of love. And maybe necessary in the long run.

It's safe to say I should've married her years ago. but bc of past relationships I kept waiting to get hurt. And what happened was me being shown 1st hand what unconditional, always got your back, best friend love is. I never had that before. Bc of past bad relationships, I knew this love was real but bc of them it also took me a long time to be ready.

People should not doubt John on his waiting for and finding the 'right one!' He's an obviously meticulous man. There will be a 'right one' for him no doubt. Proof is how he's waited so long for them to show up, not just jumping on the first thing smoking. There are a lot of smokin' things rolling his way. His discerning eye is disciplined and knows what he likes. He's waiting on it. He will know it when he sees, and feels it. He's got it like that as a Master, the Man and the King❣🌟💎👑

When I listened to it the first time, I heard Tom Petty. The first bars are exactly like "Learning to fly" from Tom Petty !! Amazing song !

I kind of felt that way too the first time I heard it. But actually, the first few seconds always bring a smile to my face (nostalgia i guess) and then I enjoy the rest of the song which is quite different from Tom Petty's.

Its a pretty standard chord progression.... and it's perfect for what he's been trying to achieve : give us songs which seem to have been around us for decades, yet taking his very own spin on them. He does pretty much what Tarantino does for movies.

Til The Right One Comes" Well the lucky in love Call themselves, "Winners" And losers are sinners who have gone astray As if I woke up Lonely one morning Looked around and decided I would stay that way, oh You knock me down and you call me, "Crazy" You say I'm never gonna love someone Give it time now and you might find maybe, I Prove you wrong when the right one comes Won't be long til the right one comes And I know people Broke down and defeated Lost what they needed in some miserable war So forgive me if I might Look around for a minute Before jumping right in it, I just want to be sure Some people 'round here been calling me, "Crazy" Some people say I'll never love someone That's alright, give it time and maybe, I Prove you wrong when the right one comes Won't be long til the right one comes Til the right one comes Now I'm lying in my bed End of a long day Headed the wrong way down that highway of dreams When you're a little unsure of whatcha headed for The end of the road ain't as close as it seems Some people 'round here been calling me, "Crazy" Must be something he's been runnin from Stick around now and you might find maybe, I Prove you wrong when the right one comes Won't be long til the right one comes Til the right one comes Til the right one comes Who's that knocking at my door? (Til the right one comes) Is it someone I've been looking for? (Til the right one comes) And who's that throwing arms around me? (Til the right one comes) And telling me she finally found me (Til the right one comes) Til the right one comes Til the right one comes Til the right one comes Til the right one comes Til the right one comes
