I initially bought the Nektar LX49+ after watching your reviews of midi controllers; I returned it because I discovered the T6, and I thought it was a better buy and I liked the feel of the keys, the pads, and Nektarine. My intention was to use it as my main controller, but I'm new to producing and the learning curve was somewhat frustrating; subsequently I bought the Komplete Kontrol M32 which was a little easier for me to learn. I would sincerely appreciate a class/tutorial on anything reference the T6. Thank you for your reviews and sharing your knowledge.

I have had two T6 keyboards. The first one had a faulty usb port which kept loosening and when I got in touch with Nektar support they immediately sent a replacement. However the aftertouch on the replacement has never worked at all. In addition to this the script for Cubase integration continually drops out with the only reliable fix being to reboot the pc (AMD Ryzen 7 3700X). The keys are clacky, all you have to do is listen to John Mike playing on this video. I previously had a LX 49+ and it had the same issues with the Cubase script. The end result of all of this is a litany of continuous disappointment. It is fair to say that it will be a long time if Nektar ever appear on my wish list again.

@GospelMusic4Life3 жыл бұрын
I posted on your other Arturia video where I got the keylab essential last night. After playing with it a while I’m up in the air about the keybed not being deep enough. I really liked the option of the instruments showing up one the screen as I’m replacing my 61 key gigging keyboard. I’m really wondering now if I should have went with this keyboard. One thing I want to do is layer sounds from different midi channels and turn them off and on in the keybed from the board which I have not seen yet in the Arturia. I’m wondering if that is possible on this keyboard but I’m doing my research.
@GospelMusic4Life3 жыл бұрын
Just ordered this. 😃 Hopefully it will meet the need as my new gigging keyboard and deeper keybed than the Arturia Essential which I returned. I’m to used to piano keybed.

My T6 arrived. I think I will like it better than the keylab essential. The keys are pretty good. They remind me of the akai keys. The only thing I’ve got to get used to is how they slant down toward the front. It’s going to be a learning curve but I think im content for now.
@DeanVidal Жыл бұрын
@GosepelMusid4Life is this synth-action or semi-weighted?
@GospelMusic4Life Жыл бұрын
@@DeanVidal It is synth action. The keys have good travel and feel ok other than the slant on the black keys toward the keyboard. I have never gotten used to it. If they had not done that I would give it an A. The keys do spring back so there is some resistance when playing. I still have not fully learned it. I’m considering getting rid of it and getting the 61 or 88 key arturia mk. I’m not sure what I want to do. Keyboard and 88 key controller or keep my Juno and get the 61 key arturia. I Love the build quality on their board and the value they offer for the money. I just recently picked up the minifuse 4 audio interface.

@@GospelMusic4Life I've been in that "what should I buy" debate with myself for a while now. I own a Juno as well (a Juno-G but the screen is busted so I use it as a midi controller to play piano/EP vsts). I kinda like the keybed but it's not what I wanna feel... So I really wanted to pull the trigger on the T6 but with your review I might pass it up for something else within that price range. P.S. I've been looking at this and the P6. Both have features I like, but I'm wondering if the features on the P6 are worth the extra money vs. the T6? Do you or anyone on here have any experience with the P6 or with both models?
@jeanguysylvestre3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I own both keyboards and I actually prefers the P6. It looks better, has a few more knobs and that motorized fader, but the screen is also easier to read on. I was also less impressed than expected with the new keybed on the T6. I play the piano and it feels way too plasticky for me. 1 drawback about the P6 though, is that you can't use Nektarine with it in Logic. To be accurate, there is a way to make it work but you have to give up the Logic integration that comes with the P6. However I think they both works in other DAWs in P6. On the other hand, as far as I know, both DAW integration and Nektarine work in T6 in most DAWs, including Logic -NB: better double check on their website. Hope that helps.
@agentooe33AD3 жыл бұрын
@@jeanguysylvestre Much appreciated! Fortunately I don't use Logic, so no worries there. My main concern is the keybed, aftertouch, and velocity accuracy. I use a lot of sample libraries where velocity is a "key factor' (I couldn't help myself, haha). Right now, I have an Arturia Keylab 61 MK1, and it's garbage when it comes to all 3 of those elements. For the time being, I have an old Ensoniq MR61 that does a wonderful job at all of these things, but lacks any sort of control other than the wheels. I have a Presonus Faderport 8, so I'm covered for DAW control, mainly looking for VST control along with the other things I mentioned above. Sorry your experience wasn’t great…compared to Roland and Yamaha keyboards feel there is no comparison…a $180 board vs an $1800-$3000 board is definitely gonna feel much different or significantly worse…as far as being paid for the review…I got a total whopping $0 to talk about this board and give my opinion…lastly…here’s a video on why my studio monitors are on the side…which has nothing to do with the orientation…because I don’t use them to mix on…only reference in mono…I have a whole other set of monitors that I properly mix on…🤙🏾kzbin.info/www/bejne/one5YneIqaqHh7s
