You guys are killing it.Come to the dark side.Been a roland fan since xp 80.Now only if fantom you could store samples with scene on the pad this would be a game changer.This mean every time I change a stored scene the samples on the pad would change.Boy this would stop all competitions in their tracks.Ed ask them to to this please in an update.

Not sure if this is the functionality yall talkin about but, I believe I've already been doing this for some years now. Here's my setup for Live service: DAW: Mixcraft Pro Studio 9 MIDI CONTROLLERS: Nektar LX88 + Akai MPK Mini • 5 VST Instruments Routed to the Nektar 88 • 2 VST Instruments Routed to the AKAI Mini • 1 Audio channel to take input from iPad running click tracks • 1 Audio channel to take input from Musicians Monitor (Vocals, Drums, etc) • Volumes controlled by 9 Faders on the Nektar 88 - to mix/match sounds and click track levels • Can be Recorded Live and easily mixed down to stems for post production

Just a quick note about USBc the jack on whatever device doesn’t necessarily means it will perform faster. I purchased an audio interface with a USBc connection only to find out the device still only performs as a standard USB.

@akibe7608 I know, but to be fare I can do a lot with my first generation kronos. I run backing tracks plus a click track on live shows. I really use the 6 outs plus the sequencer. I could see why there still a demand for it, other keyboard manufacturers have moved away from the sequencer model.

The Modx 8+ has similar feature when I route Mainstage to my ModX. When I also route Modx to logic, I can record all my patch strip chanel seperately

Right...but as far as the stage piano keyboards go...this is the only one that does this...BUT the V-Stage does this automatically just by plugging it in...Plus it's USB-C...the Montage/Modx+ you have to assign the parts manually...I remember getting a bit frustrated with that with my Montage M6...

I’ve been doing this (multi-waves to DAW) with Jupiter Xm & Roland v-drums for 3-4 years now even though it’s USB-B rather than C. It’s great but the downside is you have to use Roland’s driver which means this concept will not work with an iPad. While it’s good, it would be better if this was a class compliant ability.

Only problem with this John is nobody in their right mind is using USB out of a keyboard into a computer at a live recording. 😅😅😅😅 So that feature wouldn't be useful at all for that. I feel you though. Lol. The additional outs could be used like that though.... But not the USB

I am definitely picking this joint up! The thing is, I'm torn between keybeds. 😂 I had the opportunity to check out both models at my local Guitar Center. The weighted 88 key version is NICE. However, the waterfall keybed version is so damn smooth (like butter) and I can see myself whisk out all day on them fisted organ/EP runs. Since I have a Yamaha CP 88, I think I would probably use the CP-88 as my main board with the V-Stage 76 on top as a dual combo situation or should I just get the V-Stage 88? I also know the V-Stage is heavier than the V-Stage 76 so my back isn't having it either way. lol I'm completely losing my mind over this decision. 🤣 Somebody please help me figure this out!!! 🙏

yes...but you have to manually assign each part...V-Stage Routes it automatically just by plugging it in

Actually my Fantom (EX) does it automatically sending each zone to a separate output. But granted, I'm not sure any other 'stage' keyboard does this at the moment.

USB-C is a crap connector. USB type B is most more robust and there is a lot of space for it on the back.

@@sghsghdk man naaa every computer now is USB-C…and it’s definitely not more robust…we’ve been using usb-b tech since like 2000…USB-C is a way faster protocol with tons of more data bandwidth…

@@ShadesMichaelsgmail I’m definitely an advocate for MainStage a computer and a midi controller…for a TON of folks that’s a very viable option…but there are some people that just prefer hardware…and they’d much rather interstate their hardware into their software than use software holistically…
