I am a 52 woman and have been riding riding my 2019 RT Limited for 2 years. I started out riding with my husband on his 2018 Harley Tri-glide, but, when he didn’t want to let me drive and ride on back, he suggested the Spyder for me due to my arthritis in my hands and the Harley clutch and brake hurting me. BEST CHOICE EVER!! Having our bikes keeps us off the couch watching the grass grow! We have had such fun adventures and seen places we would have never gone without the bikes! Last fall we did just over 3,000 miles from Fort Worth, TX to Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. We rode The Tail of the Dragon and Great Smoky Mountain National Park. What an experience on bikes! I would tell anyone on the fence about buying, do it! You only live once and we women can definitely do anything the boys can! :-) Safe travels!

Loved hearing Laura's story!! So wonderful! Wishing you many safe travels, Laura! I remember being afraid to ride in the rain...it really is ok...after the first time...you just get used to it...I'm not talking about torrential downpours though, lol. We hit some wind traveling yesterday and it doesn't so much move the Spyder as it tries to move the ryder. FUN!! Yes, yes, yes!! Oh yes, I practically give a hug across the highway when I see another Spyder, lol. John and Miriam...it's almost TIME!! Woo hoo! Yes, Miriam in the driver's seat! P.S. Hi John & Miriam, this is Nancy. Laura seems like such a gret lady and thank you for bringing us her story. I took the handle bar position of a new 2021 Spyder RT Limited in June of last year and am enjoing it so much! As Laura mentioned, it mkes me feel confident and safe. 👍🏻 nice. Love my 2021 F-3S! My Brother rode my F-3S yesterday for the 1st time. He has 2 bikes both 2 wheelers. One in his Home in Florida and one in his second home in Iowa. He really liked the Spyder a lot. He said he’s not getting one but we’ll see. I don’t expect him to be an Impulse buyer but down the road, maybe.

My daughter, Laura, sure enjoyed riding her Can Am Spyder. Her health prevented recent riding and the bike was sold. Laura passed away in June of last year.

John, I have a question. How does the Can am handle in cross winds. I have 2 wheels and have to lean into the wind to stay upright. I know that it is difficult to lean on a Can am. So how do they handle?

Like it was on "rails". Had a 35mph direct crosswind in north TX . The wind tried to push me off, but the Spyder tracked smooth.

I am 62yr old female, live by myself. Should I buy? I’m only 5’1” and 121lb. I am not planning on big budget just to ride in around in town or more.I do have bad back. I used to drive Vespa scooter 5 gear back in India so miss that.
