I've gone a bit sour on this brand - my Copper Pedal has just stopped working after a year of safe, quiet home use, the Lee Anderton thing - no big deal for me but clearly it's brought the dogs out - the 50/50 'I have a problem' vs 'my holy grail' comments on the Victory FB page but really - THE PRICE! Are they really worth what they are charging compared to other quality brands? I'm all for boutique made in UK stuff but I'm frankly getting a bit leery of this brand - lotsa hype (esp from some KZbinrs) but questionable longterm validation form actual owners.

I bought a V40 shortly after I bought a V30 (it was a yin/yang thing). I found it to be pretty unremarkable. It wasn't bad ....just ....meh. I returned it after a couple of days. It's pretty anemic. Really the only plus was that it's tiny package for a 6L6 amp. The Two Rock Studio Pro 35 is a much better option than this. That said, you make it sound great. Great playing as always.

Umm except of course for their latest handwired things that are nearly £5k I don't think the dumble/two rock sound has been part of their Arsenal. I'd probably look at the VHT D50 or a Ceriatone for that sort of thing? The Amp X will arrive one day, I'm almost sure of it!!

I had a V40 for several months 2017/18. It was a terrific pedal platform and did work well as part of a stereo set up. However, I found it to be a very dark sounding amp. I was surprised to see your tone settings. Invariably I had the bass off and the treble cranked. Eventually this niggle defeated me and I sold it. Perhaps later versions have been voiced differently?

I owned a Ford and it was an amazing car, and I didn't buy it because Ford said it was great, that didn't matter to me at all, I bought through extensive research because it was the best car, Ford's reviews of his own cars didn't influence me one bit, if you were influenced, you should have been more careful because nobody in the business tells the truth, everybody does it. So not just Ford.
