I get free tickets to all the comedians, so naturally, I go to them all.. Most of them are rubbish, eg James Acaster, Russell Howard, Paul Merton etc, yet they are all over the TV like a rash. Of the newere ones, Milton Jones and Miles Jupp are ok, as is Simon Evans and Jeff Northcote. I heard Johnnie Casson on the radio the other day, so he's still going, and even funnier. I suppose he sticks to cruise ships and local gigs because he knows his audience. That's the nation's loss.

JOHNNIE is the correct spelling. He is overlooked by TV producers, but if you must use copyright material please spell the name correctly JOHNNIE Casson

Yeah, a lot of people didn't get that, especially when Bruce Forsyth tried to make it over here...they took it too seriously instead of looking at it as light-hearted banter.

It's taking me a bit to understand the jokes with his thick Yorkshire accent, but this is, hands down, better than the comics who do a whole show fulll of cussing and vulgarity nowadays.

I hope this is an old video because these jokes are ancient, most of them I heard well over 10 years ago. Also, the way he flits randomly from one joke to the next without appearing to have structure to his act is what separates him from the true comic geniuses. The audience love him, well to be honest the jokes are very funny the first time you hear them. Does he ever have original material, or does he only ever use tried and tested material?

I think this a bit more than 10 years ago.

comedians dont change their act often, they change the audience they are telling them to
