Let's assume you had a job anyone cared about. You go online and start speaking your mind using your real name. Your employer finds out and you get fired. That's reality. We're in America and you're so f backwards that if you speak your mind and put your name behind it, your life can be destroyed. How does it feel to have to lurk in the shadows like a rat? Come on youtube, this is all I hear. Never a peep in public ever. What does that suggest? I don't know what scoreboard you're looking at pal. Hateful and scared to say it out loud is no way to live life. You're one guy in an anonymous online setting and that guy disappears once anything is at stake.

The fact that those in the crowd laughed at Bench's comment (which he apparently said with enthusiasm) shows that we as a society still have a long ways to go when it comes to confronting those who make insensitive/borderline racist comments in our presence. Years ago, when I visited a part of The South were I grew up...I found myself in a conversation with other White people who had no problem using The N-word when around other White people. While I was appalled (living in The San Francisco Bay Area for the past 28 years...the number of times I've heard a White person say The N-word here in SF is less than the number of fingers I have on my right hand)....I stood in silence while these White people I were in a conversation used The N-word to describe President Obama. I remember talking to my brother afterwards when we were alone about how messed up it was that these guys can use that word on President Obama. His reply: "it's The South". However, the fact I stood in silence and didnt have the courage to say "hey, this aint right. Dont ever say that word in my prescence again" shows that the phrase 'Silence is Complicity' rings true. More White people, when hearing other White people make insensitive/racist comments.....need to stand up and say 'dude, that aint right what you just said'.

Bench was joking! I'm sorry - Don Rickles - Oh, I KNOW that's OFFENSIVE - Made fun of all people, including Jewish people, of which he was Jewish. I stop with the N word and Real Racism, but THIS? Mr. Giles' Daughter wasn't offended, but YOU are? Bless your heart. In the US Army, we're getting to where our Drill Sergeants MUST be careful what they say so our Soldier In Training don't want to go home crying to their Mommies. God help us if a War comes, because everyone from the Terrorists who flew the planes into the Towers, the Pentagon, and a ground in Pennsylvania on 9/11 to the Russians and other possible enemies today could care LESS if we're offended today. There are BAD PEOPLE out there who just want to destroy our way of life and have their way around the world. Despite all of that, we mustn't make little Johnny, Bobby, or Mary cry by yelling at them for being late to a formation or get on their case for being to slow in a training environment, because being quicker might save lives. And, surely we must be careful how and what we LAUGH about when relaxing - even if it's NOT the very offensive N-Word - but today's Orwellian word police deems it hate speech and the businesses run by our woke societies might take an individual's way of making a living.
