Johnny Bench is regarded by many as the greatest catcher in Major League Baseball history. The 14-time All Star spent his entire 17-year career in Cincinnati, famously leading the Reds teams of the mid-1970’s known as the Big Red Machine. During Bench’s tenure, the Reds won six division titles, four National League pennants and two World Series Championships,
In this episode of the Out to Pasture podcast with Bo & Joe, Bench joins Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose to discuss the injuries he endured over the course of his career, his longevity, and his admiration for the greats of the game that he was fortunate enough to play with and against. The two-time National League MVP also opens up about the importance of family, changes in the modern game, and even discusses his run on the popular children’s show, The Baseball Bunch.

This Johnny Bench interview is what makes KZbin worthwhile. I am sitting fascinated, glued to my chair. Johnny could talk all day as far as I'm concerned. Joe and Kim, thanks. Great stuff.
