I like your idea of driving up the pile to keep it compact. 😎👍

Sure beats a wheelbarrow and shovel. I moved a grind pile today.

Thats great! Im sure those contractors can think of a lot of times that would be perfect for them as well.

Love seeing this. I also have a JD X590 and bought a Little Green Monster (LGM) for a front end bucket loader. Building a sloped hill of mulch in the front yard is a smart idea. I went with the standard actuators on the LGM (had option for the double speed actuators but decided to pass), and, like you, feel the action is slow. But, I'm sitting down on my tractor and don't really mind. It gets the job done and beats a shovel/wheel barrow for sure.

I have the JbJr on my Simplicity Conquest. The power steering really makes it nice. But your K-72 transaxle shows a lot more power in this vid, than my K-66. Fwiw, you can get much larger scoops with the 'bucket doubler' on the Johnny Bucket. Fewer trips 👍 And also with the toothbar you Can dig thru sod and really do the same basic work that Skidsteer can. (i also have an excavator). Only thing i might add for better digging would be front wheel weights so she'll bite down. With the rear heavily weighted for traction, it makes the front too lite to dig down if you wanted (hence where the power steering shines) 💁 ~

Jeff - You have a very pleasant welcoming voice! I really like these videos... I have an x580 and am thinking about the JBJr especially for moving mulch. It looks like the options of the toothbar and bucket extension (to hold more) would be useful. Did they ever solve the hood non-full opening problem? And as others have asked, is removal of the bucket easy? Finally it looks like your mower deck was fitted with the bagger...I just ordered the 3 bag bagger for my 54" deck. It looks a LOT better than the 2 bag system I had on my LX280. One more question (sorry!) - are weights and weight bracket really necessary? Thanks!

I noticed that your X590 is able to keep pushing into the pile until the bucket is full. Have you tried using it to dig into packed soil? My X320 isn't rated for "ground engagement", so to dig into even a pile of gravel or loose soil, it depends on momentum. So, while I'm in the market for an X5, I'd also like to make sure it can do what I need.

That was entertaining. I just bought an X590 with a 54" mowing deck. Where did you get that attachment? Also where did you get the tires?

Nice video, thanks! What kind of tires do you have on your Deere? I have Turf tires on my Husqvarna and they just spin when I try to fill the bucket

Those look like the new Carlisle Versa Turff tire, its a radial tire, just put a set on my JD x495 diesel and quit using the chains and turf tires. What a difference. mine are 26 by 12/12

Lol try doing it without the bucket. Funny how you think it's nothing, sitting on your ass behind a screen. You must have never done any REAL work, if you don't see the benefit of this.

I designed and built a loader for my JD 425. My design blows away anything else on the market, period. The bucket, fully down, is only 9 inches from the front of the tractor. The loader mounts with 4, 5/8 “ bolts to the front frame only. The bucket raises to 77”, easily clearing the sides of a 1/2 ton. The bucket is 32” wide and holds exactly one wheelbarrow full, 6 cubic feet, perfect for a tractor of this size. My design is lightweight, all components are 1/8”, plenty strong for a loader of this size, unlike the stupid JD loader which was far too big and heavy for a tractor of this size. Because the bucket is so close to the front and the correct size, you don’t need a full grown bull elephant standing on the rear. This is a fully functional, true front end loader, properly designed and sized and with enough power to handle any job, even hard packed earth, unlike all other designs that I’ve seen. Have a nice day, from Canada.
