That was back when you at least had some idea of what different politicians stood for. Now other than 3 or 4 I have no idea what they are about. And politics now is so vile and hate filled and divisive. I remember President Reagan couldn’t have lunch with Tip O’Neil and they could be civil and even though they disagreed on just about everything they understood that they each sincerely wanted America to succeed and be a better place. Now a-days I think half of them want to see us fail as a nation. It’s just sad that the greatest country the world has ever seen is declining and it’s our own fault.

The same fate is coming to the US where I now live and it's a shame. The problem with Americans are they are all in it for them selves and have munity mentally it's in there history to destroy the nation that made then what they are ,also alot of uneducated Americans who are not even real americans but have citizen ship are are destroying this country voting for political crack pots like AOC. It's what caused the independence of America in the first place a bunch of entitled ex European foreigners some who were born here or brought when they were young or were the offspring of rich plantation owners and were educated rebeled against the UK government and changed the status quo of the country, and the rest is history. That is happening again but this time the media is making it toxic for ratings, As a result the USA will just become weaker as a nation on the world stage And it's government more divided

The great Ronald Reagan! But let's not forget that at a time many in media painted him as a lightweight and a kook, trying to dehumanize him.

Both Carson and Reagan are World War 2 veteran. 🇺🇲 🇺🇲

Makes some sense but the ultra wealthy NEED to be taxed more than the working man. The ultra wealthy until 1971 was taxed up to 90 percent. We need to bring that back! Nobody needs billions of dollars. Those same assholes get all kinds of tax breaks and abuse every legal loophole they can to keep their I'll gotten gains

The ultra wealthy pay over 50 percent of the income taxes in America 🇺🇸. You sound like a communist.

*_Can anyone tell me, if they know, what Cali was like when Reagan was gov. I used to watch Cali as a kid on TV in Ireland in the 90s & it seemed amazing but it was the insider's view I would get from my favorite tv shows. So I moved to Boston as a teen in 99, joined the army & now live in rural Oklahoma with my wife & children. My dream to own a working ranch came true. Even in the early 80s, Clint Eastwood drove around town in the truck from the "Every which way" movies, which was his own truck. And he had no guards, dressed like a regular dude & had a rifle behind his head on a rack._* 🤠😂

California was on the leading edge of wacko ideas when we moved there 1966 Reagan brought stability and slowed the decline. For a time...

California has since squandered all that. Ol' Gavin is smiling and waving as it careens off the cliff.
