Nearly all of them had great poise. Bush wasn't always the best in front of a camera, but he had his moments. Obama was excellent at delivering inspiring speeches. We look at Reagen in such a glowing light now, not because of what he was (he'd likely not get nominated in this climate) but how people reacted to him. Which was mostly respectful, from both sides of the aisle, because he did the same. In todays climate, he would be dragged through the dirt, and ultimately despised as a result by a large portion. Representation hasn't changed as much as we have... we've become cynical, sometimes hateful, distrusting, and paranoid. Our current representation is an embodiment of that. If we want to get back to respectable candidates, WE have to start with US.

I am so very honored that I had the great pleasure of meeting Ron in my home town, while he was campaining to become president. I still have the picture of me shaking hands with the man who went on to lead this republic for 2 terms, who brought us exponential economic growth, and who nearly single-handedly stopped the spread of communism and became the catalyst for its implosion around the world.
