Classic "Talent" of two great "Star's" in their own right ! I miss those men and those days of civility, intelligence, and respect for each other and their acting and show business careers. Carson stated Jack Webb loved Jazz, this led to his first marriage to Julie London, a Jazz singer and the mother of Webb's two daughters. Julie London was in one of Webb's production as Dixie McCall on Emergency.

Comic writing & delivery at its best. What a great sport Mr. Webb was to do this Dragnet parody, I love this! When Robert Deniro was the guest on Inside the Actor's Studio, host James Lipton asked Deniro if he would recite the classic line from Taxi Driver "Are you talkin' to me?" for the student actors, writers and directors and Deniro flatly refused. What a wet sock.

Robert DeNero has definitely got some issues. Decency and DeNero are strangers to each other.

Maybe he’s just one of those actors what has to get in the zone to do a line. Or maybe he just got tired of people asking him to do it.

That being said, I still use that line a lot myself.

Some actors simply won't do "in character" recitations. Jean Stapleton for example never did Edith's voice once she left the show despite being asked thousands of times.
