George Jones survived his drinking and drugs, and here..he sings Angel Band with his country music family. 20 years later, he survived a car wreck and later would perform this same song with Vestal Goodman..and the Gaither family.

He aired 10 Christmas specials from 1976-‘85, but I believe 1979 is the only Spring special he did. Great upload! Side note, would it be possible to get a hold of the entire Cummins Prison concert?

There is another spring special from 1978 which I will upload sometime soon as well. I don´t believe my version of the Cummings Prison show is complete though

@@JohnnyCashArchive2023 In 1980 the spring Special was called "The First 25 Years". In 1981 the "Country Girls" Show was the Spring Special and in 1982 it was "Cowboy Heroes" (a co-production of CBS/House of Cash and dutch Television!). In 1983 he filmed a prison special at Angola State Prison which was never released.
