How cool is that! Thank you for uploading that. I think that I know every JC song, but apparently I don't. ;-) And well, yeah, not a big surprise here that JC sings better than his brother who sings pretty damn well, too...

It’s actually voice imitator Johnny Counterfeit who is singing Johnny Cash’s part. Cash was too ill at the time. I never understood Tommy’s decision to go along with this, but let's hope he had his brother’s blessing.

@@AlexNuget Yes, I suppose. If you listen closely to the singing I think you can tell it isn't Johnny Cash. Counterfeit specialized in sounding like Johnny at the latter stage of his life, and he did a pretty good job, but on the high notes you can actually tell he has more lung power than Johnny would have at this time. Counterfeit also did Cash's part on this all-star gathering: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGa9hGl5rr6mjJI

@@stignielsen1169 I agree. It isn't Johnny Cash singing here. He and his brother Tommy never did get along too well either.

@@dinygerrits23. He was (and is?) an extraordinary imitator. He really nails the tremolo that was in Cash's voice as an old man - as well as other vocal mannerisms (he could cough like Cash too). But when he hits the higher register in the chorus you can hear it isn't Cash. Cash would strain his voice and the tremolo would increase - the opposite happens in this recording.
