Ralph G. Morse has spoken about the importance marionettes played in his artistic development, and in this beautiful song Johnny encapsulates also the changes that a young man experiences as he grows. I am reminded of Lulu's rather wonderful To Sir with Love, when she sings about her teacher taking her from crayons to perfume. This has a similar feel, taking Johnny from marionettes to dancers. Gorgeous song,

Gorgeous. Ralph G. Morse writes some beautiful songs and there are many more of them out there to discover. There is a real joy finding them,

This is a beautiful, coming of age, story. The video, featuring the puppet television stars of the 1960s is wonderful.

Visiting the Gerry Anderson exhibition at Colchester Castle Musuem was like seeing old friends. I was only sorry that Virgil couldn't make it

Talk about memory lane. What a creation they were and still stand the test of time. Some of those characters actually looked quite sinister and to many kids, quite believable. Nice posting Ralph.

When I saw the billing, I made the position quite clear, "JOHNNY CASHBOX" then "Puppet Show"
