It's the narcissism. In her mind, she's never in the wrong. When Johnny defends himself, she hears it as him being mean to her, but what she said is OK. I think that's how she thought she was going to get away with the abuse claims. "Yes, I hit him but he grabbed my arm and moved me from the door way!". It's just the way they think. I agree he seems to be the abused not the abuser but I’m curious why was the argument recorded? Did that ever get explained because if it didnt her defence team are bound to bring it up and possibly suggest his manner in recording was not typical. He sounded calm on tapes she sounded an out of control mess which fits with witnesses who seem to suggest similar. My only question is how did he stick it out as long as he did……I guess because he somehow felt it his fault and wanted to make it all better….

I don't fully agree with you only because I was in an abusive relationship with a narcassist for 11 years and by the end I had nothing left to give. I was this empty shell of a person and the only thing I had left was anger. I would yell and scream to keep him away from me or shove him off me. HOWEVER... You can clearly see a lot of her narcissistic traits in the multiple recordings of her not angrily defending herself but degrading him by calling him a baby or to grow up (invalidation of feelings)... this is a big key factor in what narcissists do. Not to mention he can't look at her and she has no problems looking at him. There is a trauma response of making eye contact with ANYONE not just our attackers, it's like we feel shame for letting someone do this to us or unsafe if we look into someones eyes. Continuing on... She never actually sheds a tear in any of her crying episodes... or they last less than 5 seconds and then her composure is completely fine. Then she laughs in "domestic fights" that have been recorded. The biggest thing however... is the fact a woman who helps women who have been through domestic abuse didn't find her to be a victim speaks volumes. I only disagree with your comment because while I personally was terrified and walking on egg shells I got to a point where I wanted to die so badly and felt I had nothing left to give. I was mean and loud and angry, it made me a monster I never thought I could be but it saved me and got me out. Any woman is capable of standing up and saying enough is enough and if any of it was recorded I probably wouldn't come out looking like the victim in our last fight.

Ain't that the truth. My mom has NPD, BPD, Bipolar, some of the things Dr.Curry said AH has. There weren't many treatment options in the 80s and 90s, but she refused treatment because she didn't think she had an issue. I was beaten, but the mental and psychological abuse still effect me today and I'm 44. Growing up was horrendous. We have a better relationship today because she is receiving treatment, but the narcissism prevents her from seeing that she ever did anything wrong.

When you're told, everyday, that you're useless, you're stupid, you're ugly, it shrinks your soul, day by day. Soon, you question yourself. You start to believe you are stupid, useless and ugly. My state of WV is a one party consent state, meaning that only one party has to consent to a conversation for it to be recorded. I wouldn't have it any other way. I believe she is not actually taking notes. It's a tactic used to draw attention away from her facial expressions or lack thereof. People will criticize her for looking emotionless. My heart cries for Johnny Depp. My husband was so different when I was drinking too much after I lost my parents. He never criticized me but tried to support me as much as possible. That is love. I wish this man would find true love of someone who cares for him more than themselves. That is what a good marraige is made of. Us men need to realize it’s not okay as well. For years I let my ex abuse me because I didn’t think that emotional and psychological abuse was a think. I understand that she's come off pretty evil and so they've had a very difficult battle on their hands to try and counter the narrative and/or evidence presented in the trial thus far. However they've not only been struggling in that, their main task, but also they're not doing her any favors or helping her image in any way with their borderline witness badgering, bad strategies, and general incompetence in this trial. They come off as very inexperienced courtroom lawyers, which for this level of client, their presumed legal fees, and the high visibility and scrutiny of this trial is pretty shocking - you'd think that her team would be made up of the absolute best trial alpha dawgs in the business. But not only are they clearly not that - they're flat out trash. Stumbling at every turn, making a fool of themselves and her, while making Depp look like the complete and absolute victim of her compulsive insanity, violence, and all-around toxicity. Whether he wins or loses the defamation suit in this trial, Depp certainly wins in the court of public opinion, and that in combination with the talent and box office appeal he's shown over 35 years in the business, should be enough to get his career and standing in the film industry back to the level he's earned. Amber Heard, with her mediocre acting skills, bad box office numbers, and emerging reputation as a domestic abuser/serial liar with personality disorder(s) has probably done almost irreparable harm to her career. Her appeal to filmmakers, studios, and the public is so INCREDIBLY RELIANT upon her good looks, desirability, and likeability, which respectively, will begin to fade as the years pass and have taken a big hit in this trial. So she has almost definitely reached the absolute peak of her career, and will be trending down after this mess is finished...I don't think I'm alone in saying that she's shown herself to be a wretched human being who deserves every bad bit of karma that comes her way, after this display of premeditated dishonesty and treachery.

Actually in that recording she was in his house, refusing to leave and she wanted to drink his wine and he basically said she wasn't entitled to it. Then she made this huge stink about it and said she would pay him to drink sips from his glass (and then she called him stingy), all while Johnny is asking her to leave (he even called an Uber for her) and she just refused to go. It was the most bizarre and anger inducing thing to listen to😡
