大人気「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン」シリーズでジャック・スパロウ役を演じるジョニー・デップが来日。６月２０日、都内で開催された最新作「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン／最後の海賊」の夏祭りプレミアに、共演者のブレントン・スウェイツ、カヤ・スコデラリオと共に登壇した。
７月１日(土)より日本公開を迎える「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン／最後の海賊」。先日全米で公開し、世界38の国と地域で初登場NO.1の大ヒットスタートを切ったこの夏一番の注目作だ。ブレントン・スウェイツは、ジャックの新たな相棒 ヘンリーを、カヤ・スコデラリオは、美しく聡明な天文学者 カリーナ役を演じる。
ステージに登場したジョニー・デップは、終始上機嫌。「コンニチハ」を連呼したかと思えば、通訳さんが訳を述べている最中におふざけしてみせるなど、自身が演じるジャック・スパロウのように自由で破天荒な様子を披露。その姿に、場内は大爆笑となった。
映画「パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン／最後の海賊」は、７月１日(土)日本公開。
