11:32. Oh my fucking God, I understand deleting scenes is part of the making of a film. But who thought deleting this was a good idea? It gives you a condensed review of their past. Jack was sailing under the command of Becket. Becket gave him a ship. When Jack sees what Becket was trading for the company, he betrays Becket. Becket hunts Jack and destroys the ship. Jack being in love with the Sea and the ship, makes an unholy pact to Davy Jones; Jones brings back from the Locker the ship, Jack is now captain of the Black Pearl. In two lines of dialogue, you get the past of Becket and Jack, the reason why Jack made the pact to Davy Jones, and the birth of the Black Pearl. Why the fuck would they delete this?

Jack served under Beckett because he saw the pirate his father had become, and chose to not partake in it. But not having to transport slaves was worth getting branded as a pirate. And not far along from Jack becoming captain again, he gets marooned on the rum runners island, shredding any chance of him doing the right thing. The only man who properly stood up for him, Bootstrap Bill, gets strapped to a cannon and tossed to the sea.

Deleted Scenes I would have kept in and certain reasons why I would have kept them in. 0:35 (It adds more mystery and creepiness to Calypso) 4:33 & 6:46 (Reason both are together is one cannot be saved without the other. It adds more to Governor Swan and James Norrigton's characters since the first movie while also showing how desperate Jones desires death.) 11:00 (Is there anyone who cannot express this enough? Much like the previous scene, this one adds more to the character that is Lord Cutler Beckett. It also explores more into Jack's past.) 15:05 (Just to add more humor to Jack and Barbossa's rivalry over the ship as if they were kids fighting over a shiny new toy.) 16:34 (This is something very valuable. Jack's first lesson to Will about the life of a pirate is what one can do and what one can not do. And considering that the two never had an alone time to chat after this, it would also serve as Will's final lesson from Jack. He could follow Jack's plan or he can not follow Jack plan which could ruin everything. Sure, in the end, Will still became the Captian of the Dutchmen, but I do not think he would have gotten that far if not for Jack's planning.) 17:31 (The last scene I would keep mostly because it shows us that Jack is still affected by the Locker and the first time we see Gibbs questioning Jack entirely as his friend instead of his quartermaster.)

I personally would have taken that scene out, it shows so much if Barbossa's soft side, he would surely just whip a gun out and point it at Jack
@theresedavis2526 Жыл бұрын
@@nutmeg_treemika6020 I would've left it in. Jack was needed to accomplish the mission, so Barbossa wouldn't have shot him.

Even without the Davy Jones CGI, Bill Nighy is so captivating to watch play him.

The scene where governor Swann tries to stab the heart should’ve been kept in, his acting was so great along with bill nighys, and it explains to the audience how the heart works

So thats why i feel the film is confusing, so much scene that can be explained by this deleted scenes.

The scene where the guy in Singapore saves Pintel in the opening fight makes that scene where they find him dead in the water make more sense when Pintel says "Hey I know him, he was in Singapore!"

Ok Jack wanting a refill from Beckett and Barbossa and Jack fighting over the Pearl is the funniest thing plus Jack turning the capstan while Jones is phasing through it and his yell of annoyance 😂

Did Anybody Notice The Clue Of Will's Revival? When Beckett Put That Small Ship Upwrite? Did That Hint That Will Was Going To Return?
@whirligig_saw2 жыл бұрын
14:35 , bit of a plot hole here but , the chaest is closed , its oassing right in front of jones and all his crue...just snatch it and kill everyone on the ship no? ore even better order the ship to sink and let everyone drown? dont know , it always felt strange , but then you can argue there are dozens of men upon the deck armed with guns , but then , jones is immortal , is jones crue not as well? i dont know this scene always felt a bit nonsense for this reason.
@venize3050 Жыл бұрын
At first you made me think about it but after rewatching it, yeah, that deck is fully surrounded. They are immortal but from fight scenes you can tell they still feel pain. So if they made the wrong move chaos would unleash. I don’t think Jones and crew would be quick enough before the company opens fire on them.
