During the defamation trial on Wednesday, a pre-recorded deposition of Christian Carino was played for the court. Carino, Depp's former agent, stated that he believed that Depp lost his role in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 because of Amber Heard's Op-Ed. He spoke about the complications that the op-ed caused for Johnny and his career.

Disney needs to humbly apologize to Mr Depp and restore the Captain Sparrow role to him (if he'll take them back). They were wrong to condemn him without first discovering the truth. They owe him big. If they don't fix this, I'll never support anything Disney again. I don't think that I'll be the only fan they'll lose.

My son was a victim of DM. It’s not just a female issue and women can be as violent as men. After hearing and seeing what I have so far, Mr. Depp has been railroaded by a conniving, mean and mentally unstable woman and if he’s guilty of anything, it’s was a poor choice in a wife. He doesn’t deserve to lose his reputation over her actions.

I watched her act. She's lousy! Jason Mamoa did something rude, but hilarious. He would tear off the last pages of every book she was reading! She could never read how the book ended! Not right Jason! A little funny, but not right! He does not like her and does not think she is a good actress. She tried so hard to blend in, but people simply don't care for her - for a good reason: she has no heart!!

I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first. But I knew, the minute I heard her screaming at him about how she "hit him, not punched" on a secret recording, and heard the way he was speaking with her, that she was the abuser and not the victim. I've been in an abusive relationship before, and I would NEVER talk to my abuser that way so as not to set them off.

Exactly, thank you. All the opposite, you try to calm them down, lower your own voice, try to explain yourself because you honestly believe to be in the wrong,... From all the gaslighting and grooming into shame and self blame, and try to make them feel better by saying reassuring things, or at the very least lock yourself in a bathroom or another room until the outburst passes or they leave. Possibly if in a public scenario, while being berated, maybe.. Say something back to end it and walk out. Not only out of dignity but because you just had enough, but not engage in a fight in public either. Also, to be perfectly honest, I don't know if all these texts were recovered for legal purposes, but I don't understand why would anyone would hold on to angry, sad, aggressive texts messages which add to painful memories. Delete everything, texts, photos,..videos, everything. So I am a bit baffled with the idea of the opposite.

Johnny is "one of the finest actors of his generation". So true. It's funny to hear the questions asked of Christian that he already answered as well as questions that are not clear. Christian asks, "are you asking me this..." and Elaine saying, "yes" reluctantly because she doesn't even know what she is asking. Such a ridiculous trial that should NOT be happening. All the connections came into light, if you will, after the fact. The judge was directly connected with several people that surrounded Heard. Connections included employment at firms, Heards lawyer, his wife is friends with several women who have supported Heard-that includes Heards lawyer again here. It even goes as far down to his own son, who works for Talkradio...who employed Dan Woohan(the author of the article calling Johnny Depp a "wife-beater") And then he retired shortly after this. Rather convenient.

I don’t appreciate how the lawyer laughed like Johnny was nothing anymore. Like he was washed up. He had commercials and stuff coming in when the divorce happened and she made the accusations. I saw that on television myself with the news snippets. Johnny always proclaimed his innocence but couldn’t get anyone to listen to him in the industry. My heart went out to him at that time too! He was always known as someone calm and caring before this and so someone like that doesn’t automatically change. The agent pretty much lambasted Heards case.

Cindy, He answered affirmatively that his opinion is that AHs accusations affected JDs off-screen reputation and negatively that it affected JDs reputation as a good actor. He had to be careful as the lawyer was trying to lead him into implying JDs reputation in total was affected, in which case Disney dropping him would be completely reasonable and not dependent on AH's actions. As Disney hasn't made a statement of their motive for dropping him, the case hangs on this kind of testimony.

Granted, he'll be okay financially, but when you've worked all your life for something, you reputation in that profession is everything. Mr. Carino was a very reluctant witness. He worked very hard at being an impartial party, making statements like he had no idea, and often claimed not to know how the charges Heard made against Depp impacted his reputation. He did reluctantly say Depp lost the role in the latest 'Pirates' movie because of it. The problem here is that the agent doesn't want to get blacklisted by Bruckheimer and the studio...he doesn't want to come out and say that they cowardly canceled Johnny over false accusations.

Totally agree! That's all I could figure he was doing as he's being very calculated with his answers, yet not entirely helpful to Johnny... but not exactly helping Amber either... Lets hope Johnny gets justice!

Too woke. Have you considered how many LGBTQ people are in the theatre and entertainment industry? If Disney does not support its own employees and their lives with, say, their children, teachers, community, etc how might they continue their business?

Bad news - Disney is doing fine regardless. They're one of the most successful businesses on Earth currently. If anything, they're winning the streaming wars and the box office.

Its rather sad the talent agent has to be so guarded with what he says so as not to tick off people he may need for his clients' work. If the lawyer has a shred of intelligence she knows dang well why depp was let go from p of c..and why they wouldnt say it out loud.

In my opinion, Johnny Depp fell in love with a movie prop: a woman AH played in The Rum Diary movie. A character in his late friend's (the author of the book the movie is based on) head, a fictitious dream girl in Johnny's head, and not AT ALL what AH is in real life. I hope Johnny realizes the difference now. AH is full of venom and manipulation but Johnny held a lot of love for The Rum Diary movie and the woman's character in the movie because his late friend Hunter was so dear to him, and maybe that bond to the film made it more difficult psychologically and emotionally, for Johnny to break away from AH's clawing grip. However, after the USA Depp vs Heard trial, I believe it is clear AH is NOT the American dream portrayed in the movie, she has proved to be instead, the American NIGHTMARE! AH is definitely a narcissist and has severe personality disorders, and I believe definitely evil...definitely a manipulating liar.

There are a few more worth appreciating though, Johnny and Keanu, obviously yes, but what about Tom Hanks? Morgan Freeman? There are many excellent actors/actresses that are also awesome people outside their careers- we're just used to seeing the garbage because they get all the limelight. Don't let it jade you to the fact that a lot of people in Hollywood are downright kind, decent humans. 😀 Johnny absolutely deserves this redemption he's getting from this trials exposure.
