While I recovered from it, and years passed, my parents never completely recovered from the experience. As an adult now I can see what he's saying about kids being strong and parents slowly dying, it brings back strong memories.

Well said. As a parent you just want someone to understand they are still kids. It may be cancer or some other illness that is killing them. But, to see a smile or hear a giggle is the best medicine in the world. Our local hospital have a group of clowns that visit. It has been recorded as a great benefit to the children as well as the elderly.

Bless him. When I was 8 I was at the children's hospital for a long time, a 4 month coma - hit by a car while crossing the street. That was 1983 I believe? What a wonderful kindness for people such as himself to do that. I wasn't visited or anything, not the point, had amnesia (among multiple injuries) anyway. Just saying what a truly lovely thing it is he does for the children and families ❤
