Johnny Depp has worked privately , intimatedly, under great duress and in extreme circumstances with thousands of people....from the days when his empathy couldnt let him walk past a homeless man without helping even while shooting a scene, until today, he is and has always BEEN the same person. Of course he has pain from his past and he is human and flawed..he is at the same time, the SAME person to each individual who has ever met him and spent any amount of time to get to know his character. he is nothing short of everything that is said about him HERE,, he is gregarious charismatic, generous, creative, quirky and everything in between. what he is NOT , is a cruel violent man a certain aquaman starlet who got the job due to her relationship WITH him,.... has tried to convince the world of. off to watch another of his brilliant performances in another underrated film.

I kept rewatching this movie and Jack Sparrow movies, since Depp is sooo much versatile and hilarious. Awesome and charming guy. He's a very calm person, yet once he gets into character he's totally a different person. That's pure talent right there.

"animation is not a genre, it's a technique for telling a story" this right here, never thought about that and it's so right. also just like he said, when you're making a movie, you have every actor on set, interacting with each other. He basically remember the basic of the basic, these actors are not "voice" actors, you wont be able to get 110% of their performance putting them on a recording booth interacting with the director or something. I wish more animation movies were made like this.

It's for a similar reason that I appreciate movies that actually create sets and keep things as practical as they can, rather than just cgi / green screen everything. There's just a different result when actors can act off each other and the physical world

This was just 10 yrs ago, His body looked healthy and not even a trace that he was a drug user. His failure with Amber Turd destroyed his health and his physical and mental got worst yet he thinks and acts way more normal than AH. I pray in the name of the LORD that Mr. Depp would 180 degree TURN from any of the substances that may weaken his whole health and destroy his being. He would do more to inspire many people and maybe would one day play the role of JESUS, coz he has that look and humble face, good characteristics that catch the people in some amazing way.

He'd been doing drugs and drinking since he was a young teen, idk how long he was sober before he got with Amber though. I guess stress really does take a toll on a person too. He could've been sober throughout his relationship with his kids' mom for all I know

Yes, being with AH and the horrors beyond that really aged Johnny and gave him a hard look. Hopefully as he now heals, he will recapture some if his youthfulness. He's just a year older than me. I feel like I ve gotten to know him watching this trial interviews and revisiting most of his films (except the darker ones), and I really think he's a great guy.

Always wondered how they filmed these Linds of movies. I imagined them being in a booth by themselves and just getting into character and reading the script. This was so cool to see all of these actors interacting and playing, no less, to film a movie they totally need to do a movie on how this was made, behind the scenes 🥰

Well yeah that’s what makes this animated film unique and different from others. They talk about it in the clip. Animated films have always involved actors performing in booths. Usually the actors will be performing together as group with each one being in their own individual booth. Often makes a circle or semi circle of booths. Especially in scenes which involve dialogue between the characters. Actors will still be very animated in their performances like they are here, but are just contained in their booths.

Rango is one of the very BEST animated movies ever made.On top of the brilliant characterization by Johnny and the entire cast,the artwork is incredible! You can literally see every separate hair follicle and feathering every creature,and they are all wonderful+ from start to finish! As one who doesn't take to animated movies as a favorite "genre","Rango" has been a beloved part of my movie collection for a long time! And,yes..Johnny adds his greatness to make it so as well and above !
