Even funnier, the Jar of Dirt scene was not intended to be improv originally. Depp actually tripped and fell, saving the jar, and just rolled with it. You can tell there's confusion because during the "jar of dirt" line, Bloom is looking straight into the camera, almost as if he isn't sure if they should still be going on with the take, lol.

He just played the role so perfectly and its like he shaped the character himself to resemble himself which gave it even greater depth and even better to watch.
