Well the story goes like this, as you remember Iron Man 1 had different Actor casted as Rohdey/war Machine. The actor's name was Terrence Howard, so he took a $1 million pay-cut for the first Iron Man, just so that RDJ could be hired in Iron Man as disney consider RDJ as a risk.
