The Banter between Hirsch and Mother Carlson was always so fantastic. Carol Bruce and Ian Wolfe. did wonderful scenes together. two Pros that is for sure

The encounter with Fever and Mrs. Carlson is probably one of the best moments of the series. Showing that Fever can be a great gutter fighter when he puts his mind to it. Bravo. And I always loved Ian Wolfe as Hirsch. "Madam! Your physician is here!" And then Hirsch rushes out with that wonderful smile on his face. Love it!

WKRP in Cincinnati was one of the best sitcoms that had a radio station as its center for laughs. From 1978-1982 it was filled with huge laughs. Unfortunately, the show was moved around a few times that it lost most of its viewers. The idiots who program the time slots in Hollywood sure know how to kill a show. Thanks for uploading this...great memories 👍

@@DaveNarn Musically, I still live in the 70s & 80s. As a matter of fact, I never left. I've acquired other musical... 'flavors' along the way, but the 70s & 80s tunes are never far away. I think this is where Dr. Johnny & I would've been on the same page. One thing, though, digging back into this series... It's fascinating how much society bought into the Loni Anderson brand. She was gorgeous, & that voice was angelic. But, that 80s hair.... 2 hours to do her, I bet. (I know from experience. My old girlfriend, back in the early 90s, was still carrying her 80s hair with her. Took her 1½ hours to do her hair, then it couldn't be touched until the end of the night. 🤣)

@@joeyboedeker2047back in the 1980s when they still had the rule that officially the phone company had to come install any extensions, some friends and I rented a four-bedroom home near campus. She was dating a former SO of mine, who knew enough about electronics to have previously created an extension for a dorm room phone so that the roommate could take calls in the upper bunk. We had our mutual friend come over and set up extensions so that the single line in the kitchen would ring in every bedroom as well as the living room. Only catch was, they all had to run from that original connection, so anytime the phone would ring in the kitchen 🛎️, you would hear a successive ring🛎️ as it travelled to each 🛎️ individual 🛎️ extension, creating an effect in which by the time it rang in the last bedroom in the chain, it was ringing AGAIN in the kitchen!

Of course, the last episode was actually a retcon of the entire series up to this point. The whole premise was to increase ratings and make money. That’s why they originally brought in the Andy Travis character and changed the format. In the end it was essentially revealed that the station kept all those ridiculous characters because they wanted the ratings to be bad and to lose money. Interestingly, they also did something of a similar retcon to the backstory of the Venus Flytrap / Gordon Simms character during the series.

The back story of Mama Carlson is sad she is a shrewd business woman but the men in her life were not, I think her grandson was the same way when they rebooted the show. I hope her granddaughter was a good business woman but Mama was going to have to wait a bit to find out.

Damn! Maybe it's because I'm 67 years old. But I 'swear', Arthur Carlson's 'Mom' was truly as 'hot' as Jennifer was.

Why is that old woman wearing Steve McGarrett's hair?

Hey user you killed me that one Steve McGarret’s hair. Don’t know if you’re a 50 fan but in 50’s first episode an actress named Nancy Malone played McGarret’s sister. She was from Queens Village NY. My mom and her were friends. She starred as Paul Burke’s girlfriend in that show. Boy was TV great in the 50’s through the early 2000’s!

He was good as Septimus. I liked that the Romans lived in modern times too.
