we float in water before being born..then, a barrier that couldn't be crossed for most people throughout history ( longing ), a picture for salvation, sins or stains are washed away.. Comfort in trying times ( down to the river by Bruce Springsteen ) , source of life etc. Ain't that universal?

Couldn't agree more. In fact, it was quite an unpleasant and uncomfortable mismatch. I kept watching because I was waiting for something to cleverly and profoundly illustrate how the full juxtaposition of what I was seeing with what I was hearing got resolved. But it never happened. I'm sorry I watched it. Sadly, I will have to wait a while before listening to the song again, and hope that there's been enough distance between how deeply and strongly I feel about the song and the irritation I feel toward the video to be able to enjoy it again. I'm sorta ticked off, actually.
