In Hush-a-bye performed brilliantly by Griffin's Quartet, we can observ the magic conversation held by the four instruments of the band. The tenor saxophone leads the music into an exuberant atmosphere of pure refinement and sincopated notes, that makes one's soul experience the creativity and multicolored imagination of Jazz!

This is a cat I actually heard play once at "Grace's little Belmont" in my home town of Atlantic City appearing with Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis. Awesome talent and personality. Great upload.

Little Johnny Griffen used to play the Montemarte in Copenhagen as did many of the Artists of Color back in the day. After all CPH was AKA'd as The Paris of The North. Getz & Dex also frequently performed as did Chet during the NYNY Cabaret Fiasco :-)

A question: what is the best introduction to Johnny Griffin for somebody who loves Blues.( Stanley Turentine ,Lou Donaldson, Illinois Jaquet are some of my favorites saxofonists.)
