Quelque chose de Tennessee is a song written by Michel Berger for Johnny Hallyday. It pays tribute to the American playwright Tennessee Williams, In the introduction to the song you can hear, Nathalie Baye (French actress) who was Johnny's girlfriend at that time

Hello, this is a song that touches me to understand it, as is often the case, you have to understand the lyrics, here they are translated. SOMETHING FROM TENESSEE Song by Johnny Hallyday Ah, you weak and wonderful men Who puts so much grace into withdrawing from the game It takes a hand on your shoulder Pushes you towards life, this tender and light hand We all have something in us from Tennessee This desire to prolong the night This crazy desire to live another life This dream in us with his words Something from Tennessee This force that pushes us towards infinity There is little love with so much desire So little love with so much noise Something in us from Tennessee This is how Tennessee lived The heart in fever and the broken body With this tremendous desire for life This dream in us was his cry Something from Tennessee Like a star that goes out in the night At a time when others love each other madly Without a burst of voice and without a sound Without a single love, without a single friend Thus disappeared Tennessee At certain times of the night When the heart of the city fell asleep There is a feeling like a desire Ho, this dream in us, with his own words Something from Tennessee Something from Tennessee There's something in us from Tennessee There's something in us from Tennessee Oh Tennessee There's something in us from Tennessee

Tennessee Williams, not the state lol. But that was not that obvious, true. Yes, Johnny is the French Elvis, he was and will always be in the heart of French people. He was a huge fan of Elvis. JJ Goldman wrote the album "Gang" for Johnny: try Laura (for his daughter) or Je te promets, 2 beautiful songs.

Yeah Johnny Hallyday is basically the french Elvis, he also was good friend with another amazing french singer named "Eddy Mitchell" (though neither of those are their real name)

Hi Uncle D, I suggest you watch (maybe not react because the video ⇾ just one song, but it's the final ⇽ , and it lasts 12.40 minutes, lol) "Johnny Hallyday - Tour Eiffel 2000 - Final - Aimer vivre" if you want to understand what level of popularity he has reached in France (It should be noted he has just done a 1h45 show before starting this last title). Peace, folks. ☮👈😉

I'm not a huge fan of him, he never wrote any of his songs or lyrics, he covered many English language songs by putting French lyrics to them, and his fans are not the smartest bunch... I like this song, though, written by Michel Berger, who wrote for many artists. It's about Tennessee Williams, not the state. Please check out Jacques Higelin, he has written many great songs, with great lyrics, like "Laura Lorelei", "Champagne", "Vague À l'Âme", "Tête En l'Air" and many more. Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine is good, too, very different but great lyrics as well (a tad gloomy). Michel Polnareff ("Le Bal De Laze" or "Âme Câline" for instance), he's even worshipped in Japan, and of course, les Rita Mitsouko ("Marcia Baila", "C'est Comme Ça"). These two, husband and wife (he died quite young, in his 40s) have two children who look and sound exactly like them, too. Their songs were even known in the USA, their videos were shown on MTV.

“His fans are not the smartest bunch.” How condescending; it’s distressing. Yet, here, we can only notice it's you who don’t demonstrate your intelligence by being so short. Johnny Hallyday didn’t have two or three thousand fans, but millions. So you wrap everybody in a bag, without distinction: “Brave New World,” the classification of human beings; the Alpha, of which you, of course, consider yourself a part, and at the bottom, the omegas, the idiots who listen to Johnny. So, if we follow your reasoning, Pavarotti isn’t an artist worthy of the name since he doesn’t write his texts, WTF? 😎👈

"and his fans are not the smartest bunch" c'est sûr qu'insulter les autres, ça par contre, c'est smart.

@cathyblonvil89976 ай бұрын
@JHlegende5 ай бұрын
