Bobby would beat Johnny. JOHNNY HAD A HARD TIME FIGHTING AGAINST A INJURED DANIEL. BOBBY ALSO HAVE STRENGTH. HE INJURED DANIEL LEG WITH ONE KICK. BOBBY WOULD OF DEFEATED DANIEL IF IT WASN'T FOR KRESSE. KRESSE KNOW BOBBY IS A BETTER FIGHTER THAN JOHNNY. THAT WHY KRESSE WANT JOHNNY TO BE THE NUMBER ONE NOT BOBBY. Lol no Johnny eventually wins, Bobby is probably the least vicious out of all the cobras to be honest, he may be one of the most skilled but he doesn’t really have a killer instinct like Johnny, Johnny wins mid difficulty.

Not only in 83 but also in 82 Johnny was the champion but the reason might be Kresse told Bobby to go easy on him or to let Johnny win since Johnny was his favorite student. And there must be a reason why Kresse told Bobby to make Daniel out of commition.

Miyagi can since he already beat boby and soloed kresse and silver simgle handeadly both in their primes . Miyagi dosent even need to block he can also dodge and move out of way and he if he was hit he wouldnt have a baroken leg like daniel did. dont know about chozen tho .

Bobby has more IQ, but defense just because of a situation? What does this have to do with it? johnny defended a lot of blows in the tournament, showing that he knows how to defend better than Bobby

I don’t know if Bobby was showing compassion for Daniel as he was trying deescalate the situation as a whole. Johnny’s acting out of pure emotion in this scene. He acts out of pure emotion for much of the movie. (Even in Cobra Kai, he oftentimes struggles to keep his emotions in check.) The others, but especially Dutch, seem to egg him on. Bobby’s clearheaded enough to realize that, as tough as they try to act, they’re all just kids. They don’t wanna handle the implications of beating a guy and leaving for dead. ( I think the line about killing him was overstating the situation for a family movie at the time, but it raises the stakes for when Myagi rescues him, so I’ll let it slide.) My point is, I think her want to just deescalate the situation and get Johnny to actually think.
