That performance on the Jimmy Fallon show is going to go down in history as the greatest rendition of HSIN .... ever.
@thedeadxtras9927
@thedeadxtras9927 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed his performance on Jimmy Fallon vocally was really good and much improved. I met Johnny and played with him quite a few times over the years, a very lucky man I am I know, we are both firstly guitarist who both became singers, he said to me one that we are both guitar playing singers which is much different than singers who play guitar, this has always stuck with me and resonated as we both do a lot on the guitar and sing, whereas most singers who play guitar tend to concentrate mainly on their singing 90% and usually strum 3 or 4 chords lightly on an acoustic or rhythm guitar and usually have other guitarist in their band to play the main guitar parts, whereas being guitar playing singers our emphasis is a lot on playing complex lead and rhythm guitar and over the years have then added singing to our guitar playing and have worked hard to improve our singing voices while still playing the main guitar parts, we both may never be the best singers but the combination of singing and playing main guitar parts is very different, so hopefully people can tell the difference and appreciate what we try to achieve in a performance. He is the most lovely down to earth musician you could ever meet and to actually play, jam and learn from the master is one of the greatest experiences I will ever have.

Now Johnny is in my opinion one of the greatest guitar players of all time, but everyone has conflicting feelings about him as a singer, and I can see why. It’s odd because live it seems like his vocals are really weak, but on the studio tracks he sounds phenomenal, and no HE DOES NOT AUTOTUNE. Nevertheless, Johnny Marr will always be top tier in my eyes. Love you mate. God bless✌🏻
