Johnny Osbourne is a great man and a great singer, I'm glad to say I know him. I had the privilege of growing up around him when he stayed in England. What a guy and a beautiful individual. Not a lot of singer can talk to Johnny Osbourne, when he sings live it sounds like he is on record. If you wasn't in the room with him and you heard his voice you would think someone was playing one of his songs.

A classic roots and culture tune from the vaults of Studio One. This one is given the smooth and sincere vocal treatment by the great Johnny Osbourne. The unmistakable keyboard sound of Jackie Mittoo is one of the hallmarks of this sublime rhythm track. The tune "Jah Promise" also features in the Studio One album Truths and Rights, which for me stands out as one of the most spiritually uplifting songs you could ever hear.

Spent most of my time back in the day in Peckings on Askew Road talking to George, loved Reggae but the discovery of Studio 1 was a major impact on my life, and this tune along with the massive Coxsone catalogue will live with me for ever, music from the roots of the roots and really unique. Give thanks Clement Dodd, and George Peckings, bless you both.
