There are literally dozens of better burger places within a 10 minute drive, there's NO reason to settle for Johnny's processed frozen crap. The Real McCoy is tons better, Golden Star and Freshburger too, Harry's, Big Moe's, Mama's Boys, Shamrock, 5 Guys, Homeburger, Big Boy's, Cowboy Jack's, hell, even Harvey's is 100 yards away with a crappy frozen burger but MUCH better fresh-cut Swiss Chalet fries. Lets all stop pretending Johnny's has anything that you can't buy at the supermarket in a box marked "Schneiders frozen meat-like patties".

Atse Shade all fast food burgers are frozen and come from a factory. Very few places make their own.

I've been going to this place for over 35 years and the quality of the food never changes. When you want a great burger at a great price you can't beat Johnny's no matter where you go. A Scarborough favourite to be sure since 1967, they just don't make hamburgers like this anymore.

Those onion rings look delectable. I usually get them as a side if I get pizza, or a chip wrap from the chippy. The best thing to do with onion rings is dip them in garlic mayonnaise - thick and made with fresh grated garlic.

I don't usually comment but I never thought anyone would review johnnys burgers. I still remember I was a kid when my neighbor took me on a camping trip in 1978 and he stopped by Johnnys burgers 40 years ago. He ordered me a hamburger and a hotdog. I still live around the city and drop by Johnny sparringly. And surprised their prices haven't changed like less than $4 for a burger. A big mac cost around $7 now. I tell the staff I was here 40 years ago and they don't believe me. Its been there forever and an icon of Scarborough. Just hope that this pandemic doesn't shut it down as most small businesses have to these days to survive. Thanks for the review Ken. Brings back memories.

I have been eating Johnny's Hamburgers since the early 80's. I live in Ohio now for the last 18 years but I go to Johnny's every time I visit family and friends in Whitby. Banquet burger with the works and fries or onion rings vinegar and salt and a Coke or Grape drink. Mmmmmmm!!!

Hey Ken, love your videos man! best sauce for my onion rings is Burger King's zesty sauce! I even take it with me to my favorite steak house and put it on their onion rings because the onion rings at BK are absolutely horrendous. Keep up the great work man.

Good onion rings shouldn't need anything on them. I get them where they're available maybe 30% of the time over fries, so I still like fries more. The odd thing for me is I hate chunks of onion in my food, but love onion rings, as long they aren't really thick ones, which are often almost raw in the middle.

It's more of a Canadian and British thing. You find it less often these days. If you see malt vinegar, then they are serious about their fries.

In Virginia's World you can say you liked it but you can't say that it is quality food. It is total garbage. Frozen cereal burger mysterymeat patty. Frozen crappy french fries. All served up in a ghetto strip Plaza. some people may like Swanson frozen dinners, since enough people buy them, that doesn't make it not total garbage.

Ryan Casten - Johnny's claims that their prices haven't changed for years, well that's a lie!!! Quality of food has gone way down, I mean the bun is so huge it dwarfs the burger patty!!! Those onion rings shouldn't be more than 2 bucks!!! The only saving grace is the milkshake but it should be for a large at that price!!! No lettuce REALLY?!?

KEN you gotta roll to the Real McCoys in Scarborough and try the MOJO BURGER. Also you need to order the Homeburger at these place, as the regular"cheeseburger" or"Hamburger" on the menu is a frozen patty.

Johnny's is a pathetic burger joint. Been there. It's all frozen patties, fries, and rings. Patties taste like meat loaf. Scarborough used to have a large greek population and they opened these cheap burger joints. Ken is right. It's a total throwback to the past. Don't go there. Should have gone under long ago.
