seen john in 1976 he was playing with the quartet of the foremost italian jazzman then , pianist giorgio gaslini . he was playing a nice holliwood president pink drums with tunable pedal floor tom ( supposing his drums , no service those times ) . I was a teen ager and he has been the first of the great jazz drummer I seen in my life ( ALL them , including Elvin , Max , Art , Tony ... etc ) I remember so vivid his great playing , he is a great master , porobably not so well know international because he always based in New orleans

Brian doesn't play on "River: The Joni Letters" by Hancock, where is an Edith and the Kingpin with Tina Turner, there is a Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.
