I don't know if we are referring to the same slider but regardless of volume you can choose how often he talks in a slider. You can mute him totally or choose up to the max level which is just called "Bubsy".

I've just been seeing reviews for those two games (specifically SomecallmeJohnny and NitroRad), and it's kind of hilarious the reactions I'm seeing. By the end of Sonic Forces, SCMJ was wondering if Sonic Team should disband because they're just not capable of making good games, whereas the tone for Bubsy:TWSB is more 'It's not worth the price tag, but maybe it's worth your time. It's Amazing, that there's so many series that people have been wanting new titles of for decades, and yet bubsy, the ONE franchise that NO ONE to my knowledge was asking to make a return, gets a brand new game. Ristar, Rocket Knight, Goemon, Astal, Klonoa, Nights, and plenty of other franchises I can list have gone decades without anything new, but Bubsy makes a return somehow.

The only one of those that I actually recognize and know anything about is Nights, and I still haven't played any of that series. Gotta commend Accolade for making a Bubsy game that's at least playable to a degree. I hope they take criticisms to heart and fix the biggest problems. I'm not expecting Super Mario Odyssey levels of amazingness, but I hope Bubsy can somehow become a solid platformer genre that somehow fights all the odds of his terrible, terrible past. It would make an awesome comeback story at the very least. They have a solid idea of how to make Bubsy good, they just need to expand upon it.

Actually, the original Giana Sisters devs got sued by Nintendo because the game was so similar to Mario. Which to be fair, it was because the company wanted to port Super Mario Bros and Nintendo said no. In which they created the Giana Sister and boasted in magazines that they would be better than Super Mario Bros. Anyway the game only came out for one of the old PC systems popular in Europe and had plans for multiple ports, but the lawsuit kept it off shelves for too long and it was pirated way too much after everything was said and done. I probably messed up some details, but if you are curious, Larry Bundle Jr talked about it in one of his videos.

Wow. Bubsy actually looks adorable and not terrifying like in Bubsy 3D. I didn't know what you're complaining about with his voice though. His voice is MUCH better than it was before. However I do agree with this being very bare bones so I think they should try to learn from their mistakes and use that as motivation to create a better game for the talkative furball.

Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams is this game, done well. Literally it's the same game engine,but the gameplay is funner, the presentation better and the level design more interesting. It was quite critically acclaimed, I'm pretty surprised you never heard of it. It has little to do with the classic computer game though.

You know what I loved about this game the most? The fact that ProJared did a playthrough on his channel, and beat the game in such a short amount of time, he qualified for Steam's refund policy. And he took advantage of it. What a pile of crap. I hated Bubsy as a kid when it first came out, and I hate that it's still a thing to this day. It just will not go away.

Star Shard well dead mascots get comebacks, Giana got a comeback in 2009, Shantae in 2010 Bubsy in 2017, ToeJam & Earl in 2018, now Earthworm Jim will be next, he got an HD Remake instead of an entirely new game

Risky's Revenge wasn't really much of a comeback though. Especially considering it was the second game. Usually "comebacks" are an old franchise getting brought back, Shantae was just a single gameboy colour game released in 2002 and Wayforward did other things in the meantime. Although if we're going to include that as a comeback... GIVE ME GLITCH DAMMIT! *braces self for 'Who?' comments* They'll see... they'll all see... Dr. Exavolt will have HIS VENGEANCE!... Probably not...But it's a nice thought...
