It's pretty lame how Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels didn't really contribute much to the series of side scrolling Mario games because if we consider most of the classic side scrolling Mario games they all had some sort of innovation that became common in later Mario side scrollers for example the first game started the franchise, Super Mario Bros 2 (the Doki Doki Panic based game) introduced Shy Guys, Bob Ombs, Birdo's and possibly other creatures into the Mario franchise, Super Mario Bros 3 introduced melee power ups that provide superior aerial mobility, the shoe power up, some of Bowser's children, the overworld map, the ability to grab objects and possibly other stuff and Super Mario World introduced the idea of having a power up that you can save for later as well as Yoshi and possibly other stuff as well but Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels provided practically nothing other than maybe the red piranha plants but other than that it didn't really give any other contribution since it was nothing more than a rehashing of the previous game with increased difficulty

all my playthroughs only a handful of enemies level up along with you. i wonder if that's something they changed in the remaster.

I like Sonic Superstars I don’t love it. I think the main stages are great, it’s amazing how they were able to replicate the classic games controls and physics and I like the game’s graphics. The bosses are dogshit though they really are that bad and the soundtrack is a mixed bag. I’ve never tried multiplayer and I have no intention to try it. If I had to rate it I’d give it 7.5/10 or a low 8/10 if the boss fights were better it would be an 8.5/10 but they are that bad

I'm 25 now ('99 baby!) and I've been a Sonic fan for at least 21-22 years, since I was a wee little 3 year old. My faintest memory of Sonic was around the early 2000's, and the earliest would probably be around late 2002, when I turned 3. My first game was the original Sonic the Hedgehog, on an actual Model 2 Sega Genesis, as well as on an actual old (well, newer at the time) CRT TV, which was in fact an RCA Colortrak model (I have pictures of the thing, so, that's how I know). I've been watching your reviews since the OG Sonic 1 review all the way back in either late 2011 or early 2012. You actually inspired me to write my own reviews in my down time, as a way to express myself. I've never showed those old reviews to anyone, and quite frankly, looking back on them NOW, I don't think I ever will. They are fucking DREADFUL to read. I was 13 at the time, and teenager me didn't know how to review for shit. I've definitely gotten better with writing reviews since those days, and actually have pretty ambitious plans to start my own KZbin channel one day. I just need to be more comfortable in my own skin, and find the courage and will to actually do it. One day, for sure.

I remember having such a hard time with the game at Labyrinth Zone around 20 years ago (those damn Act 3 waterslides!) that I gave the game to my older sister, and she managed to get to the final level, Scrap Brain Zone. It was so cool, and I remember being so enamored with the game as a whole. I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Sonic and the secret rings has a party mode and I actually kinda had fun with it. I'd might go as far as to say that it's better than the base game.

My Known Sonic Adventure Positive Opinions 1. Is both my first Sonic game I ever played and best favorite Sonic game of my six favorite Sonic games. 2. Was both just the first thing I learned about Sonic and made me a Sonic fan in the first place, even before I knew Sonic is also a famous video game mascot and especially Mario's rival. 3. Is just the first redesigned Modern Sonic game and better than the Classic Sonic games. 4. Adventure/Open world gameplay than just linear gameplay. 5. The other main characters than only Sonic are playable in the story as well. 6. Darker and edgier. 7. Anime-esque. 8. The characters’ redesigned Modern designs are more anime-esque and better than their Classic designs. 9. The characters sharing one story from each perspective of the story. 10. The game taking place both in a big American city-based city "Station Square" and a jungle "Mystic Ruins". 11. The linear levels aren't so hard. 12. There is an anime adaptation of the game, «Sonic X». 13. Nostalgic reminds me of some of my other nostalgic childhood Nintendo 64 games and have same similar 3D graphic style as Nintendo 64 games I had before Sonic Adventure, like Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarine of Time, and Pokemon Stadium. 14. The Soundtrack. 15. It has a remaster version "Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut" better than the original Dreamcast version. What Known Sonic Adventure Negative Opinions 1. There are only few other Open World/Adventure Sonic games like Sonic Adventure. 2. There's no remake. 3. Probably the only Sonic game with especialy anime-esque as well. 4. The game isn't a reboot even when it's just the first Modern Sonic game as Sonic '06 which was just intended to be a reboot. 5. There are no missions from the non-playable characters as in Sonic '06 and Sonic Unleashed.

Loved that game as a kid, it was so savagely hard, also Bass is better in everything than Megaman except in the first robot boss fight, megaman deals more damage with his charged shot.

The weekend thing isn't a concern on longevity, it was about the video game RENTAL market. Tons of games did this at the time eg. Super Star Wars and all the Disney platformers. They wanted you to have to buy the game, not complete it in a short rental period.

i know this vid is hella old but it sucks to see so many people trashing undertale cause of its interconnected story and gameplay. the fact that the genocide run is boring and tedious is the point. you are activly choosing to stay in one place and kill every list being you can possibly find and then go to the next. its a *evil* path. treating Undertale like a regular RPG is the character arc of one of the games characters. to disconnect from the story is to be just like flowey. Undertale isnt a game that can be played away from its story. the game and its story are one in the same. its fair to not like undertale cause of how it is but its not a "bad game" just cause you dont like how it delivers its message that "activly trying to kill everything is bad"

This game was my favorite video game as a kid, flaws and all i genuinely played and enjoyed this one first, to the point where now I don't really like the old crash games in comparison just due to the level layouts and box requirements.
