The only intake over stock that works is the long intake that extends down to the bumper through the cradle
@Brisk999
@Brisk999 4 ай бұрын
yeah i understand that MOST of the intakes are actually worse but i was so confused when he said that the stock is better than all of them because im pretty sure the long ones would work better.

Except when it rains; i don’t want to drive 😆 or maybe I should invest in a water repellent sleeve?

There’s a short ram intake known as the hot air intake in my opinion. A true intake goes pass the engine bay where it actually gets cold air

@@Brisk999the stock one (DE) pulls air entirely from the cold section of the bumper. Not sure how it is on the HR though.

I’m not sure about power increase because I didn’t dyno before and after installing just cold air intakes (cai) but on a hot Florida day the intake air temperatures dropped from 160+ to 100-110 ish (or 80-85ish with no bumper) This mainly helped at the track, the cai help with heat soak so it’ll run better for longer. This on an HR btw 🎺

Best intake is the one I make. I offer a 4 inch cold air intake to the front bumper with a big USA green velocity stack filter. My current setup is ported heads, cams, 4 inch true cold air intake To front bumper, 75mm throttle body, ported and polished lower plenums with 5/16 spacer and all thermal gaskets between plenums. Modified upper plenum bolt holes have been shaved down under the top plenum and polished. 14 pound flywheel, GTR injectors, tomei headers, Megan test pipes y pipe and Megan single exit exhaust Aem fuel pump E85, light weight pulley kit fully gutted and 100 shot of nitrous for back up lol.I’m Probably the 2nd fastest all motor DE in United States Nisformance currently holds record at 10.8 quarter mile time on the All motor DE I’m not far behind them

I'm in the market for a 350Z. I've had a 300ZX TT and a 370 so it's not a new platform for me. I know most people say the HR is the best but I can see benefits from all years. Any insight since you have a DE and an HR for what you recommend? Also forced induction is the goal. Love the videos!

Cool cars. Pre 2012 VQDE 3.5 engines are some of the most reliable engines ever made with proper maintenance and sound cool. I own a 2008. As far as performance though what are we doing? These cars can't even run with a behemoth Nissan Armada I mean its not even competitive.

Actually read what you just said 😂 That armada is twin turbo. If you twin turbo the vq35de you’ll be faster than an armada by a long shot. Not only power to weight, but also power wise you could make more hp if you want. Can’t say it’s a bad performer when compared to a V6 with forced induction. People turbo VQ’s all the time. Still the same engine, still the same platform. Still a great engine. You don’t get stock motors for performance. You upgrade them. That’s why we love cars and engines

Please don’t get the Megan racing test pipes they tend to leaks because of the flex pipes. Get test pipes with Helmholtz resonators on it 💪🏽

ive been looking into 350 and 370zs and I really like both of them, which one you recommend?
@Ben_Z33
@Ben_Z33 4 ай бұрын
370Z is just a more refined 350Z essentially it depends what you want the 370Z provides a more smooth ride and the 350Z is bit more raw in terms of power the 370Z has a little more of an edge
@AlmondSchlatt-jc9on
@AlmondSchlatt-jc9on 4 ай бұрын
370 feels a bit more assisted but is also faster, 350 is a bit more timeless and is a very raw feeling car. I have a 350, I love the 370 but of the two I think the 350z hr is better value

Yo man I really need to ask. I have found a banger deal on a 04 350z DE. Got BC racing coil overs, a custom front bumper, wing, cold air intake, and some nice black rims. 184k km (idk miles) But the only issue that its an automatic, are 350z automatics any fun and do you recommend them.
@AlmondSchlatt-jc9on
@AlmondSchlatt-jc9on 3 ай бұрын
Hey man, obv I’m not Johnny. I got an hr as my first car, and I got it in an automatic. I can’t drive manual and really just learned how to drive in general, so the auto is plenty for me. However, if you’re an experienced car enthusiast and you’ve driven a manual car, it might leave a bit to be desired. It’s powerful and fun, but I think if I was accustomed to a manual, I’d find the automatic boring. I do daily it though, and the auto is 10000% better for daily driving

@@AlmondSchlatt-jc9on Yo thanks man. Yeah I am used to manual, and have found another 04 350Z with a few more miles but a nicer looking one. Has a bunch of qualitative upgrades to the motor to make the car run a lot smoother and healthier so I think I got a better deal.
