It sounds great, especially the way the pitch changes when there’s wheel spin etc… you might forget you’re in an EV. Best fake engine so far! 👌😎

It sounds awful. Try listening to BMW's Hans Zimmer sounds... those are actually great, and not a bad attempt at emulating an ICE via the speakers.

@@thearousedeunuch I have to disagree. In this case the emulated engine sound is so well mapped to the throttle and speed, it really adds to the driving experience. Whether these sound packs should be synthetic futuristic sound scapes or nostalgic ICE age sounds, is another discussion. I hope the future will give us an option to choose between both! :)

@@drewhender3999 To me, it's the other way around. BMW's sounds are futuristic and vibrant. The Smart's sounds are like those engine sound changers that featured in Pimp My Ride: obviously trying to emulate something much, much better.

Not this time! Why the hell he dont say us if in sport mode the car give the same sensations (except for the engine sound) that in brabus mode? That here in Italy makes a difference of 5000 euros, because there is a version without brabus mode with the same power awd, that prices 5k less! Marketing is crazy!

@@marcolforoso4001 because it doesn't? At least not at my location. The BRABUS version is the only one with this power and acceleration, the Pulse version is the fastest non-BRABUS, but still a lot slower. Where did you find your info? I'm curious!

I tried an answer: marketing lied: the only way to know if I'm right, is to feel or measure the real feelling or data. This is a rappresentation of confidence in you work by me!

@@johnnypovdrives given that it is desirable, as well as probable, that two cars with the same peak power and the same weight have the same performance, it seems likely to me that this is a branding move to strengthen the distinction of a fictitious alternative to excessive characterization of the Brabus model. so your test with the related impressions would have shed light. Maybe you can use one of those modern systems to measure acceleration data too!

1:28 When I took delivery of a BMW last year, the guy that handed it over to me said that you should never ever press on the hood when it´s half-closed like in this case. That can bend and damage the flexible hood. Instead, you´re supposed to unlatch the hood again and let it fall or slam it, they are designed to do that and they will survive that. Not trying to be annoying, just something that I´ve just learned recently, video is great anyway :D

Ik heb eindelijk zo'n geweldig kanaal gevonden waar je geen zelfvoldane onzin praat en je eigen rotzooi doet. Een zeer goede en efficiënte manier om de auto binnen een redelijke tijd (maximaal 10 minuten) te presenteren. Nogmaals bedankt, nog een fan voor het kanaal!

I got mine here in the UK on October 4th in the same colour, now done 3,000 miles. Love every minute of driving it. Real 0-60 mph 3.7 seconds quarter mile 12.1 seconds at the flat out speed of 112 mph.

Thank you very much for the light and quiet clip with words. Of course the information through the screen is excellent. An amazing and fast car without sporting intentions and with maximum driving comfort. Thanks to the manufacturer Geely and a subtle combination of Mercedes, a useful and enjoyable compact car was created. It is worth noting the special 22KW home charging that is so fast that I don't need to look for charging stations from home.

Didn’t like it that much on my very short one hour test drive. Felt slightly disconnected because of throttle response and couldn’t get a regen configuration that didn’t make me feel slightly car sick. Didn’t have engine sounds when I test drove(mid last year). Maybe I missed it or it’s a software patch? Looks way better when you’re driving it!

Even now the development process felt unfinished, with the app being unavailable. But yeah, it is quite disconnected, like a lot of EV’s… nevertheless I had a lot of fun with it, one of the few electric cars that really made me smile while driving.

There is a lot of Mercedes mixed into this car actually (compared to its brothers and sisters sharing the same Geely platform). Smart is not the little city car anymore it used to be. Given the good proportions it *appears* small on the pictures, but it is actually a lot bigger than it seems
