Even though Moss Park widely known as the sketchiest of area of all of Toronto, it's still largely safe through the day. At night it's quieter, but as a result, it seems more dangerous as the mentally disturbed seem more prevalent. They will stand right in traffic, oblivious to the world. Johnny, your knowledge of seemingly every street in Toronto is astounding.

Nicely narrated video! Regarding the Phoenix Nightclub you mentioned that you couldn't think of any notable acts. Well I can think of one! The Rolling Stones! I didn't get to see them perform myself but I did get to see Mick , Keith and the band enter the club as I lived nearby. This was in 2005 and they recorded their live "Light the Fuse" album from the Phoenix en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_the_Fuse Back in those days the Rolling Stones were managed by their longtime Toronto based concert promoter "CPI" (Concert Productions International since absorbed by "Live Nation") . The Stones would regularly rehearse in Toronto prior to kicking off a major concert. In 2005 they rehearsed inside Maple Leaf Gardens which was vacant after the Maple Leafs moved to the ACC. I think throughout the years many other major artists have performed at the Phoenix but the Rolling Stones stand out in my mind.

That's just a major street, its not one of the bad neighborhoods. The U.S. has some serious economic, social and racial problems, hence why you get slums like detroit and parts of San Francisco for example. The population is alot bigger too, almost 10 times and you share the southern border with a country with economic, government and organized crime problems. Toronto's crime problem was higher than New York City not 2 years ago.
@josefmuglia65244 жыл бұрын
@@D33Lux Outside of NYC and Chicago, the large to Mid size cities are surrounded by freeways, surface parking lots, and no retailers. Just look at Houston, Phoenix, or LA for examples. Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver have miles of walking communities and good transportations.

Bit of a sketchy area for sure. Question. Do you mean to say that someone with an e-bike can't ride in the bike lanes? Motorcycles and motorized bikes with no pedals, yes, I can understand that, but e-bikes are pedal assisted. If what you say is correct, that's a rotten law to say the least. Some people, like me, have bad knees and hips from playing sports, so riding an e-bike gets me back riding again. I guess, then, I'm forced to ride in the traffic? Tell you what, if I'm there, I will be riding in the bike lane. I'm glad we don't have a pathetic law like that where I am. Mahalo!

Johnny Strides thank you for letting me know. To be honest, I was puzzled as to why you mentioned e-bikes not being allowed. It’s universally understood that a pedal assisted bike is fine as long as they are either class 1 or 2. Any e-bike that is class 3 are, as far as I understand, are not allowed. Mahalo!
