Cars Running Traffic Lights! No Cops in Sight! While Train Switching At Nearby Yard

This week we decided to do a Flash Back video as a fan requested if we had any old railway videos at Edinburgh and Paisley cross roads in Guelph, Ontario.
After having some time to dig through some of our old Guelph, Ontario old railroad content library.
It look as though we didn't have anymore specific videos of the Edinburgh or Paisley railroad crossing.
The ones we did have weren't exactly specific to Edinburgh and Paisley, but rather they were related to the switching yard near the Edinburg and Paisley.
Out of all the video we had this was the most complete version of the CN 540 switching at the XV yard just before proceeding further down the CN Guelph North Spur

I can't believe the driver of the white car who crossed right in front of the moving locomotive! He got quite the horn blast from the engineer, didn't he?

I think the engineer was in a little disbelief, because his reaction was quite delayed and some drivers on the road seem to be annoyed aswell. I was surprise how many cars were blowing through the crossing as this was the first time I watch the video back even though this video was recorded over 4 years ago now. I actually edited out a fare bit of it too, but as someone pointed out before it really not a good location for a switching yard.

@@Trains4Fun you should see how bad it is In Kitchener now with people driving through crossings went the gates are going down I caught a car on video almost getting hit by a go train at one of the crossings

Bad arrangement there that they have to block the roads just to switch tracks in the yard, and they need to call out the weed sprayer.

You are right. This is not the best arrangement, but like most railroads were in places long before there were regular roads. My guess this is largely the reason this yard is looks badly configured this way. When there was far less cars on the road, but now seems to have turned into a serious traffic problem. Fortunately this is the only time of the day it happens.
