i had that exact cylinder fail on my own 1.2 in my case a valve had burned through the umbrella seals were leaking bad so it was pouring oil into the intake no doubt contributing to the failure anyhow the valve seat was miraculously ok so i just got a new valve dissassembled the head cleaned and honed all the valves including the new one untill i had a nice silver ring then reassembled and it's been running well for two years now so recently i decided id just toss in new rings in there for shits and giggles and now it runs even better! now im on to modding it with relatively simple and cheap mods to see if i can get any additional power out of it

I found this so helpful. I worked out that my misfire was also in cylinder 3. My problem was caused by the spark plug failing. Not too difficult to replace.

Thank you man,i always asked my self why that light blinking some time when i put keys and start engine,she's blinking and just stop,and every time when i see that i think : Oh damn,what that light means.. And one day when i go to the City,my car start shaking and the engine shuts off,and the mehanics thold me the fuel pump is dead :(.. now becouse of you i can read error cods by myself and try to avoid situations like this..Thank you again and god bless you!!!!!!

omg mate thanks you just saved me a lot of headache i am getting p0300 and p0301 together i switched plugs around with no change then did spark test on coil pack and was getting spark on all 3 at 20 so started on injectors unclipped 1 no change at all then did 2 and it cut out so thats my injector 1 bad right? so grateful mate thanks a bunch

Wow. I did the pedal test, the light was just flashing, no pauses so i thought that meant no detected faults. You showed thats not necessarily true, but since my car wont run I can't fix that. A cheapo reader (50€) showed no faults, which since there clearly is a major fault if the engine will start but then cut off! So i bought an Xtool D7, a MAJOR investment. Tjay too could find no faults!!! New fuel pump and filter, new oil switch, new plugs, new crank and cam sensors, throttle body removed and scrubbed behind the ears, maf cleaned. Fires up but cuts out, yet according to ecu there's nothing wrong with the car😢😢

I picked up some good tips from your video. Also it seems to be a common belief that if the car has not been working for a long time the injectors will be dried out and gummed up and wont work. I have just started cars parked outside over 1 year and over 2 years and they started almost first turn of the key. And as the tanks are now pressurised the petrol don't seem to go bad like it used to do.

I have a Corsa C from 2006 with 1.4 engine and 90 HP. When unscrewing the oil filling cap, the cap lifts up by its own, instead of being sucked down onto the engine opening. Is this positive pressure inside the valve gasket normal? I thought inside the valve gasket there is a negative pressure.

Maybe one safety comment : Always remove the NEGATIVE pole (Black) first !!! If you remove the POSITIVE pole (Red) first and you tool touch some metal part of the car, you will make a short circuit that will burn you !!!

Love the Video I also not a Pro I am doing my own Service quick quesion wwhat type of Sparkplugs does my Corsa 1.2 mk2 2003 Take I have bought some from Amazon they said it fits my Vehicle the sparkplugs are NGK 7956 BKR5EK aer they the correct Plugs .

Thanks for the help bro, The tip about tapping the fuel rail with the socket was spot on :) I've done loads of work on cars but never messed with fuel rails. It all worked out and my car works perfect again. 10:39 Do you remember what that rack is called ? I like it a lot :)

I got the same issue on the same engine but on a corsa b. I stored the car for 2 years, it worked fine for a couple of hours but then developed a misfire. Problem is that you cannot individually disconnect the power to the injectors or the plugs so I can't diagnose which one's the issue. I doubt it's the engine since it worked ok at first but it may as well be the issue since it has over 400k km on it.

Have problem 0304. Misfire in 4. Changed coil pack and spark plugs but still problem. Was this the same as urs? Do u think changing injectors would solve my problem? (Doesnt specify problem with injecto) 😔

Hi got another question where do you fill up the Gearbox is it on the passenger side of the gearbox I think I have found a filler plug on that side & thats the only one there thats on my corsa 1.2 mk2 2003 Vehicle .

Hi, one quick question. I understand that you need to get some of the pressure out before removing the injectors, but when you put them back do you need to re-pressurise it some how, or does it do it when it puts more fuel in? Thanks

Hi, theres no need to re-pressurise them, it'll happen as soon as you turn the key to start the car.

Would this be the same method for a vauxhall meriva I have the same problem multiple misfire on all cylinders the coil pack was new I've changed the spark plugs I clear the fault and then if I drive at 30mph for long enough on 3000 revs the engine management light comes back on

my zafira misfire on cylinder 3 turned out to be an open circuit in the ecu ... common problem for the zafira due to the location on the ecu bolted to the engine where heat dissipation and vibration effects the ecu

My car had a 0303 random missfire pot 3 turns out it was the wiring from ecu, only found out by moving the the wiring and the missfire was gone.

If you turn the ignition on and you see the starter motor shaking it could be because his car is having a misfire or if the ignition isn’t starting that’ll be because his battery is dead.

Astra H twinport real nightmares I ignored the first 2 probs as bad luck but.... Misfires and was dropping revs and stalling. Changed rocker cover for new oem part. Oil + filter change, egr deep clean, throttle body clean, spark plugs (bosch), front pipe with flexi. Still misfires! Any suggestions? Just bought pre cat lambda and gonna buy post cat aswell but if this isn't the problem I'm gonna try coil pack and do my wrists if that doesn't work 😭

One of my friends have exactly the same issue, I changed the Sparks and all the filters , but still , when you accelerate you have sometimes a gap / hole before it react. PS : it is a 1000cc so only 3 cylinders. Any advice is welcome.

@@DRI1966 Bobine rail or MAF sensor. Problems starts most when car is on temp. Disconnect MAF sensor when engine is running, if it stops it is ok , when keep running you got the problem, 9 of 10 times it is the bobinerail or MAF for 1.0 engines.

Man, I have one of it here in Brazil and although the mechanic say It can change oil in 10000 km, I always take the car to him at each 5 or 6000 km, because it's the most important thing you can do for the engine health. I only think it's normal to consume 2 L of oil in this amount of roaded km, as the block itself takes 4L at the changing.

If there’s no difference in the way the engine runs when the injector is disconnected. On other cars you can try this with the ignition coil.
