What makes Seventeen different than other Kpop groups is that, as one of the industry's only self-produced idol groups, this means that the members of Seventeen are the ones that create everything themselves, with help and advice from Pledis Entertainment's choreographers, songwriters and rap producers when needed. But everything is pretty much created by the members and the professionals are only consulted or asked to assist to bounce ideas off of and to finetune things, etc. So, "Hot" was wrote by Woozi, who is the leader of the vocal unit, with help from the rest of the vocal unit -- Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan. Hoshi, who is the leader of the performance unit (dancers), creates the group's choreography along with input from the other members of the performance unit -- The8, Jun and Dino. And S.Coups, who is the leader of Seventeen and the leader of the hip-hop unit, writes the rap sections with help from the other members of the hip-hop unit -- Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon. Seventeen's name comes from the fact that they have 13 members + 3 sub-units (Vocal unit, performance unit and hip-hop unit) + they come together as 1 group = 17. Their fandom name is Carats -- like Seventeen carat diamonds. 💍 And their symbol is a diamond. Seventeen debuted in 2015, so this year is their 7th anniversary. To find 13 young men, who really didn't know each other before becoming a group, that are so multi-talented is impressive. And the fact that they are constantly able to come up with hit after hit and maintain one of the top spots in the industry all on their own, makes them even more mind blowing.

Seventeen and BTS aare my two favourite groups [they fight over the top spot to be honest]. Known as ‘the self producing idols’ these guys have been heavily involved in the composition and lyric writing, production and choreography since debut. Member Woozi composes and produces almost all of their songs [he is a song making machine], with the other members contributing additional lyrics and songs [especially Vernon]. Hoshi [mostly Hoshi] and the other members of the performance team are involved with developing their choreography [which is amazing btw].

LOVE that you’re checking out seventeen !! some general info on them would be that they’re known as a performance powerhouse, they’re highly known for their choreographies and especially their synchronization which is crazy since they are a very big group (13 members), so for them i’d also recommend watching the dance practices or performance versions of songs after watching the music video. now for a recommendation; i’d love to see your reaction to their killing voice video, it’s a medley of basically their entire discography, so it gives you a very good look on them, they’re very diverse and have something in each genre basically :)

I just saw them live in Sept in Toronto. Sold out show. It was my first k-pop concert. It was so amazing!!! I'm an ARMY but will go to any k-pop concert while I wait for BTS to come back. The energy is crazy!!!

svt is super fun to learn and analyze music wise as one of the members, Woozi, produces all their music, all of the rappers write their own lyrics, with all of the other members writing lyrics at some point in an album typically. Choreo is also done by one of the members, Hoshi, too with help from other main/lead dancers. It’s not common in kpop and when they were training 2013-2014, their involvement on their own music I believe got them a lot of fans (myself included lol) it’d be cool to see you react to some of their older songs after this too. All of their songs are so unique yet somehow have a distinct sound (probably the fact that it’s the same person, Woozi, producing)

Been watching your vids lately. 😁 My intro to Seventeen was their Dingo Killing Voice perf. Out of the songs there, Don't Wanna Cry caught my attention first. OMGGG! so happy for this, I have been listening to bts almost 3 years, and at some point i forced myself to like other groups but I just couldn't until a few months ago (when I didnt knew anything about seventeen, never heard of them), Jungkook posted a photo with Seventeen members at their concert, I look them up starting with HOT, left and right, _world, rock with you, and feeeelll for them, also their group chemistry and personalities are amazing!!, I hope you continue to react to them 💜🔥 definitely BTS and SVT are top tier!

Seventeen! There are 13 members, so get that "guide to..." ready. 😄 Seventeen has been around since 2015, and is under Pledis Entertainment, which is owned by HYBE. I don't follow them very consistently, so I don't necessarily have a bias, but Hoshi always catches my eye. 😊 Their choreo is always top notch. They have some bops; as far as recent-ish popular songs, "Rock With You" is really good, but do personally prefer "Hot". 🔥

I love this! Seventeen is one of my top 5 groups! Like the comments say, i do recommend the Dingo Killing Voice, anything that's LIVE by them will be amazing. The Rock with You performance with a live band sounds really good. And i know you focus more on the music and MVs, but their dance practices are INCREDIBLE.... like if you can do their MVs followed by their dance practice, it would be really cool, so you can see why they're one of the best live(but you dont have to of course =) ) '_World live band' and MV Dont Wanna Cry Home Getting Closer Fear Are a few of the ones that have MVs, but tbh their entire discography is *chefs kiss. Not because i like them, but from a musical point of view, they're very musically diverse and brilliant at it. Yes watching the MVs is really fun, but don't be afraid to dive into the color coded lyric videos to enjoy the rest of their music, we'd still enjoy those! =)

Ahhh m so late..but mind me..I am a hardcore ARMY,like any group other than BTS I do like some songs or many song of a group but the personalities..very difficult to find that cozziness that bts give,now I dont find it 100% other than in BTS but seventeen man...they are really good. They are independent music artists.Produce,choreograph,write-everything. And and and ...THEY ARE HELLA FUNNY HELLA. I dont laugh this much watching anyone other than BTS or 17. Now i dont know much of their songs...i have been listening to them here and there but i have watched many many clips of them just being goofy. PS-A song that i absolutely love by them is HOME. please check that out And yes one more thing...Woozi ..i like woozi..because...He looks likw yoongi!!! Can u imagine like idk why i can see yoongi in him. Thats when i really got into them. I adore yoongi and am crazy for him so to just see someone resembling him...Ahh my heart. Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Seventeen are under Hybe (same company as BTS). There are not 17 members in the band. i know that's where ur mind went, lol. Rock With You is my fav song. Hope u check it out. Now that one is bloody catchy. This one only the chorus is catchy to me. I actually don't like the whole song. i like when they start singing and that hot chorus repeat. But the full song is not my thing. I do think that this song got them into USA and they were voted best new artist or something last year. They are nominated more and more in American award shows. I vote for them if BTS are not in the same category because they are their little brothers. I do prefer Enhypen and TXT more. But i am still learning about this group.
