I am Japanese. Jin's pronunciation is close to native. He doesn't change consonants or put breaths in the middle of words to make it easier for him to sing. He conveys the beauty of the Japanese language as it is in the songs. That's why the lyrics speak directly to my heart. His original talent shines even more.

Japanese may be familiar to Koreans. However, there are pronunciations that are not found in Korean, and I think it is difficult to pronounce them clearly.

It’s absolutely insane for Jin to hit E5 using his full voice with so much control. Every note he sang was so polished to the point that it’s almost identical to the studio version. I was truly amazed when every time he hit the crazy notes perfectly without a hint of hesitation! That’s professional!

They ALL are singing the same level of high and low notes; the difference is their tones. This has been said before by vocal experts. It’s deceiving because the more ‘belty’ the tone the higher it may sound but there are actually no differences between them.

It's heartwarming to see a reactor appreciates Jin since that doesn't happen often. You and Shiki are the only reactors who talk about him often. Usually it takes a real ARMY to appreciate him after watching Run BTS or behind the scenes.

Jungkook co-wrote this song so thank you Jungkook! I believe it was supposed to be for his mixtape but they used it as an OST for a drama coming out that year. All the members do so well in Japanese songs but Jin is something else entirely. His vocals shine so much, it’s so beautiful I love Lights, so I hope you check that out soon!

He wrote and produced that song. First it was for his mixtape but Bang PD choose that song and writer helped to JK rewrote it into japan language and Bang PD with JK gave that song to producers of "your eyes tell" movie and they made it OST

Your comment about them growing as vocalists is soooo true! Jimin and jin, in particular. Jin came so far during the wings era, but for me, jimin got so much better during the pandemic. No touring and straining their voices for hours at a time etc. the forced rest of the pandemic allowed Jimin to hone his craft, and look at what he can do with his voice…I feel better just listening to him sing This goes for all of the vocalists…without the constant strain of touring, they got so much better 💜 Thank you for your videos…I love the little snippets (like in the background instrumentation) that you call out…some of those things you go right by, but you allow me to understand the musicality of BTS better 👏💜

Considering Jimin had to sit outside of a room where various members were getting vocal training, just to be able to learn SOMETHING is astounding considering how beautifully he sings!!! I’ve never understood why they wouldn’t give him vocal lessons for so many years, while the other 3 got them (especially Jin) and he wasn’t a singer either when he entered the company as a trainer; yet he was assigned the falsetto/high notes!! More astounding is that he did so beautifully. But we all know it came at a cost to his self esteem, because he worried so much about his singing! It angers me every time I think about that!!! But look where he is now!!!! He’s an incredible, triple/ quadruple threat and he’s going as far as HE wants to go!!! I love that so much! He is spreading his own wings out from under the other members’ shadows, where no one can doubt his talent anymore!! He’s so humble and watches everyone else shine but now HE’S SHINING and he’s worked hard for it and earned it!!!! I adore him! 💜👼🏻

@@ArmantoAlex13 jm did not get vocal training only before debut. and he sat inside the room watching and learning , he just didn't have interactions with vocal coach....all that was before debut... jk stopped after debut... jm would have gotten training after debut. jm joined 6 months before they selected the members of bts... so they didnt have time as well as resources to give him training before debut...none of the members were singers when they were selected. no one had any prior training or experience. jk's mom sings so he would have known to sing a bit without any training . so stop this jimin didnt get any training through out this past 10 yrs story...if jm didnt ask company or even get on his own then thats his problem... he has money...

In his MiniMoni album review, he said he couldn’t keep singing the way he used to because it was hurting his voice so he started singing lessons from the basics…that sound like he got the vocal training he SHOULD have from the jump???? So shut up trying to school me with a Jimin history lesson because I know it all…I’ve been around awhile sweetie!!!!! You’re one of the few left (probably a hater) that still thinks he hasn’t been royally screwed over 2 albums in a row! MUSE being the most obvious one as we ALL (the gp included) watched the label pull the same crap they did when FACE came out. Now having just come off of Twitter, IG and TikTok, after reading the insanely vile, cruel hate train Jimin and his parents are being assaulted with for no reason, I’ve got not a single bit of tolerance for anyone who wants to lie and deny the truth or says ANYTHING miserable or negative here about Jimin. I feel like I'm cheating commenting this early because the video is unlisted lmao but I had your playlist running in the background while I did some work to catch up, so I guess I got here by accident! But anyway, thanks for the reaction. I'm glad you weren't too offput by having a lyrics video that wasn't color coded. It's always a pretty fun achievement to be able to differentiate their voices without help, though! A lot of the translations for this song are kind of shaky and get pronouns/perspective as well as phrasing wrong, but the one in this reaction was really good. So I'm glad you got to see that at least once. Jin _really_ shines in the Japanese songs. The way he places his voice naturally is very similar to how Japanese singers would, which means that even though he _does_ have a Korean accent in his Japanese when it's spoken, his singing voice sounds native. _And_ he just compliments the style of song they tend to release in Japanese, too. I definitely fell in love with his voice listening to BTS's Japanese discography. The truth is that most of the members have accents when they speak and sing in Japanese, though they've gotten better and better over time, just like with English! Some of the ways they phrase things or the vocabulary they put in their Japanese lyrics doesn't sound completely natural, either, but as usual, BTS proves that if you put enough of your heart into your music, you can overcome the language barrier anyway.

Jin's voice sounds beautiful in Japanese is because he has a nasal quality that a lot of Japanese singers have, so his voice fit the song. And yes, Jin in their Japanese songs always sounds heavenly. This is one of my favorite Japanese songs from them.

This beautiful song was written by JUNGKOOK for his mixtape. A Japanese production company commissioned HYBE a song for their movie and the members convinced JK to offer their song which was heard by the director or the producer of the film and he was amazed as the song suited his movie like a glove. And that's how this song gave the name to the movie which was released in September 2020. It was a resounding success on the billboards and it was positioned in Japan at #1 on iTunes in the first 24 hours and from there he rose to fame and Jungkook received recognition for this masterpiece and then the same thing happened with FILM OUT which gave him his second Recognition as Co-Composer. Jungkook is an extraordinary Multitalent recognized for his perfect pitch among many talents. And today we found out that he participated and received credits as a writer of DREAMERS theme of the FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022 in which he showed off and gave the performance that everyone is talking about.

Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your love for your wife is beautiful, just like this song. (If that was inappropriate for me to say, I apologize.) In terms of this vocal masterclass of a song, I'm just so impressed by all of them. JK (who also wrote this song) is always the dependable, angel-voiced anchor. V's range is gob smacking and his tone is like warm wood. Jin sings like a silver trumpet clear and piercing and beautiful. And Jimin... what can you say? He doesn't seem real. And I love when the rap line does their thing in a gentle way, but there's just something about Suga when he quiet raps that gets to me. RM sounds so sad in his part, and his voice is so rich. J-Hope's voice is unlike anyone else's, too, so unique and strong. I love this song and everything about it. Also, I can't wait for you to get to "Film Out." Stunningly exquisite! Jin. I love Jin's voice too. His first words to his vocal coach, " I can't sing!" She discovered and "pulled" that voice out of him. Once he discovered he did have a singing voice the teacher said he became her best student ever! He worked the hardest of anyone. She said to this day Jin is her favorite voice student she's ever had. He still stays in touch with her and invites her to concerts. Just think how proud she was of "The Astronaut".

S. Susan. That's why I love Jin so much. He put his all into becoming a major contributor to BTS. Also, "the boys" would practice dancing for hours. But Jin was never able to pick it up as fast. So he would go home and continue practicing. He even hired a dance tutor. To this day he has to put in an extra effort. He is challenged with remembering lyrics and the dance steps.

Their vocals are out of this world. I love Jin's vocals in the Japanese songs...it's like you said, it seems like his voice was made for them. It also amazes me that Jimin did not receive vocal lessons. I believe, if I am not mistaken, that he watched the others and learned from there. Their vocal coach even mentioned that she did not give Jimin any lessons. I swear, their vocal range is beyond me. I cannot sing. I honestly never knew that you could "learn" how to sing. I thought that you either had talent or you didn't. Unfortunately, I'm too old to learn now. LOL. This song always blows me away. Between the vocal line and the rap line, all bases are covered! I'm not sure about Jin, but they said Jimin had to ask permission to sit in on Jungkook's and V's lessons, and he would practice on his own later. Not sure if it was because they brought him in so close to debut. Some of the others had years of training but Jimin had the shortest and had little or no prior vocal training and still debuted as Lead vocalist to Jungkookie Main vocalist. Bangtan forever 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@@Kookiepookie2025 Not true the only person not taking voice lesson is Jimin because he was the last member to joint six months before their debut. JM just recently had vocal lessons. JK is a main singer for a reason. He has proper training and vocal lessons along with V. And his voice is stable that’s why JM goes to Jungkook a lot for help with techniques and anything with vocal.

It's a very emotional and meaningful song. There is no way to not find personal meaning when reading the lyrics. Since you mention your wife's blue eyes you should check out Blueberry Eyes by Max ft. Suga. Max's wife Emily has beautiful blue eyes hence the song title. She also features in the music video.

You nailed it! Charlie Puth recently said in an interview that when he worked with JK years ago he suspected he had perfect pitch, as he (CP) does. When he worked with him the second time, he asked and JK admitted it, but was apparently too shy to talk about it before.

A gorgeously composed song with a very unique beat lacking composition, presented with underlying sad pathos and deep emotional longing, all expressed so competently. Jungkook created an absolute gem here and I can listen to their undulating forth coming and receding high notes and transitions from one to another on replay for hours. It is a sonic delight that I really love but I also appreciate because it doesn´t sound like anything else they have in their discography. To me it sounds like never ending crushing waves in ocean, coming, going, and coming again - in one sweeping endless, smooth and rhythmical cycle. I have to second so many others´ sentiment that Jin´s voice has been made for Japanese songs. He sounds so infinitely great here. But all of them do honestly. Jimin with his female-like tonal quality bringing fragility and gentleness, Tae and his velvety smoothness, Jin with his silver and crystal clear piercing highs and then Jungkook, opening the song with emotive super powers behind his voice, effortless and light as a father, and then gradually adding his ridiculously great quality of tremolo into the mix - (or as one of the voice coaches on YT most recently voiced and I find incredibly well fitting) - making his voice broadly resonant and "shimmering" with acute harmonics:-) He is not just a multi dimensional talent, his voice is multi dimensional too :-) Your eyes tell is definitely one of my faves they sing in Japanese alongside with Crystal Snow. It came out in 2020, it was an OST for a Japanese movie. I love their Japanese sogs. It was written and composed by JK. He also helped write another Japanese song , Film Out. I believe all members can speak Japanese to some extent Which contributes to their ease of singing the lyrics. I know you love them just standing or sitting, I do also, but check out the song Let Go, another Japanese ballad, they did it at muster in Japan. It is a ballad and they do dance. But the choreo in it really adds to the song. It is also gorgeous, no huge high notes, just beautifully sang.

Fun Fact: Jimin never had vocal lessons till years into their career and still debuted as lead vocalist to JK's main vocalist. I have no idea why he didn't have lessons - probably something to do with money and scheduls. The closest he came to was sitting in on JK's and Taehyung's vocal lessons. So Jimin sang by himself till 4 a.m. to wake at 6:30 to go to school. We have a clip where JK shows concern for Jimin as he does not know how to help as Jimin didn't really know how to use his voice right and still had to hit some quiet high notes. And Jimin was always down when he made mistakes - which was one of the reasons "Lie" was born. Even as Jimin does not seem to linger long when he came of stage after a mistake he majorily questioned himself. Jin shines on ballads and especially Japanese songs he has often been seen as the most valiuble player of the song. JK is always effortless where he needs to be and as far as I know he really has perfect pitch. I have also heard that people said that about Taehyung but I'm not so sure about that. Tae is the one with the highest range. The rapline can sing well but they don't always like to do that/are less comfortable with it. MOVIE SUMMARY/possible spoiler: The song was for a Japanese remake of a Korean movie - about a boxer who messed up his career with drinking, killing a family in a DUI. Than he meets that blind girl who is still full of hope and friendly and falls for her while realizing that she is a survivor of that crash. Nevertheless he makes an attemot at one last fight to get the money for an OP for her so that she may see again while being afraid that she may recognize him after. You nice! Keep going! 💜

All vocalists do such an amazing job here. Jin belting is always impressive. This was Jungkook's song. He always amazes me with his vocals, harmonies and addlibs. Also songs that come from JK or where he's involved tend to be more complex with melody and vocals I think. Just like Still with you, and Film Out, Stay Alive. They mostly have a sort of dramatic feel to them too. Might be because they're OST's. But I love it, it takes you drifting of in emotions. Somehow this song always makes me cry. It was used as an OST for the Japanese movie called Your Eyes Tell. This song came out during a time when my late-teenage daughter was really struggling with some deep emotional/mental health issues. I feared for her life. All I wanted was to fold her into my arms and soothe her back away from the edge of her abyss. This song was so bittersweet during that time--both heartbreaking and soothing. It still makes me cry. My beautiful daughter is recovered and flourishing--so for anybody else that is witnessing a loved one struggle (with one's heart in one's throat), there is often light and hope and the end of scary, dark journeys.
