Would love to see a reaction series to this series of performances. I know they're a bit older and mostly covers, but I think seeing his Singer 2018 journey gives a really nice overview/introduction, before moving to his more recent works.

HuaHua's childhood was a nightmare. He was alone so much that he surrounded himself with superhero action figures in bed and slept with a plastic gun in his hand. He has come a long way since Fake Monk in opening himself up. Watch Conversations with Martian Children, and you can see it. He is an amazing human being, profoundly dedicated to self-improvement.

Aaah, thank you. Hua Hua is amazing. I have watched this performance countless times and I still find it as captivating as it was when I have watched it for the first time. His stage presence is unbelievable you can feel it even through a screen. And it is multiplied by a 1000 when you are there to experience him performing live at his Mars concerts. I was lucky to experience it last year and hope I can go home to Mars again in the near future. This performance is from 2018 and he had gone through a dark time till the end of that year. His 4rth album New World and the 5th album Hope-Forget are talking about him fighting out of depression and his healing. Since 2019 he has opened up more and more in general and to his Martians. I am so glad that he seems to be in a much happier mental state now. His music is so awesome and interesting. It never gets boring.

Thank you for your Reaction. The way the whole audience was holding it's breath, and exhaled together (at that false ending). 😳 With Hua Hua your "favourites" change all the time. And, even songs you really liked before... move up to. "love". He is a Master of emotion. And, he let's you feel his songs differently at different times in YOUR life. Not one of my favourites... Right now.. but has been in the past, is the requested "Nanping Evening Bells". A traditional Chinese song, he took and... showed he (and Su Shiding) could sing beautifully in traditional mode, then... 😳🤣 Absolute Genius with Su as the perfect foil.... stunning voice. But honestly.. Throw a dart at a list of his songs, and choose any of his performances. They are ALL magnificently .. Different, and.. Magnificent.

This is actually a cover - the original melody was spliced into the interview. Hua Chenyu re-arranged the song and the vibes are so vastly different. Hua-Hua tends to do that for the covers he chooses to perform - make the songs his own. There is a story or point or message that he always conveys. You can tell there is a lot of thought and deliberation from his delivery.

Hua Hua is a very introspective type and he knows how to make masterpieces out of covers!!! Love his theatrical artistry; there is certainly no one like him with stage presence! From his unique expressions, weird body contortions, costumes and out-of-the-box delivery of songs! Hua Hua and Dimash are like one-man shows that fills up the stage and sucks you into their performances! Mahalo John for your reactions to Hua Hua! Hello from Australia. Some of us over here love him, too. He is so exceptional and I so wish I could speak Chinese so I could go to his concert and understand what he is saying. His fans, the Martians, are his friends, and he chats to them like he is with them in his lounge room. John, at some stage, watch some of his concerts and you will see what I mean. The Martians will advise you. Between him, Dimash and Zhou Shen, my days are full of music from people I can't understand but love anyway. More please.

Hua Chenyu was born in a very wealthy family. When he was very young, their parents got divorced and he lived with his dad. Because his dad was very busy, Huahua was always left alone at home with a nanny. Young huahua longed to be loved, he tried to do well at school but his dad didn’t even glance at him. He slept with toys and toy gun because he was so scared. And then, his dad got married again and had his little sister (who huahua loves so dearly). But slowly huahua became neglected, he spent his days alone in his dark room and his piano, just venting and venting in bizzare and odd music he created. For so many years. Which is why he is now an amazing composer and arranger, and he believes his vocal is an instruments. Huahua was and still not very good with words or expressing his feelings, so he has a lyricist he trust so much to deliver the message of his music. All those traumas create a very mixed and odd personality to him. He’s very awkward, he’s very child like, he’s very mischievous and smart, he’s a strategist, he doesn’t really like to talk but lately he became very talkative after joining a tv show and attending for 4 seasons straight where huahua got his confident boost. And i am so glad after all those trauma, Huahua now has a very loving and very large number of family members. Huahua’s fanbase is very massive and positive, really mirrored himself. And I love him so much.. in years where depression and mental health was a taboo, huahua already advocated mental health issues and he openly talked about his. I felt seen, i felt at home with him. Huahua is truly a blessing came from above.. Hoping to see you dig more about Hua Chenyu, i’ll be here accompanying your journey. Love, from an indonesian martians.
