John Rutter, English composer and conductor, is associated with choral music throughout the world. His recordings with the Cambridge Singers (the professional chamber choir he set up in 1983) have reached a wide global audience, many of them featuring his own music in definitive versions. I sang this almost 10 years ago in my local church's choir. Today I dont really believe in God anymore , I dont feel welcomed in Church, but I still really remember the lyrics , and other Hebrew and Latin songs I used to sing. I really love them , this is an amazing song

@Andyv.art. Yes, this is an amazing song. I'm sorry that you don't feel welcomed in the Church. But I suggest you to differentiate between Church and God. Since God is God, never changes. He loves you unconditionally. But Church is run by people, and it really depends on the people who runs it. I faced many disappointing experiences in Church, but later I realize that it happens in every organization in the world. So don't be discouraged by people. Keep your faith, and pray to Him often. Not only about big matters, but also about small matters. Not only to request, but to share your feelings, your thoughts, your daily experiences with Him.

John Rutter has said himself on a few occasions that he is not particularly religious. I am a humanist but my choir performs many of his pieces both at community and religious events and I feel no contradiction doing so.
