My rose looks exactly like the one in the video that new shoots grow tall and still very soft without buds, am I correct that I should leave the rose alone throughout winter not to prune them until next March? Thank you.

Yes, he’s saying leave them alone don’t deadhead because your stimulating growth.

depending on where you are - if you have mild winters or winters changing from mild to very cold ... it is a clear YES 🌞🌹

I have tried to tell my fellow gardeners why I don’t prune my roses down in fall! This was a great explanation that reinforced my method! I do strap some of my tall climbers to stake them up so they don’t rock during winter windstorms…. But great advice and another informative video! Thank you!

Thank you, very interesting information. We actually had very severe flooding in Italy about 10 days ago in the northern regions and mostly in Emilia Romagna and Toscana.😊
