the ancient place of this technique was invented in Natanz a city near Kashan in Iran, then other countries copied it as persian empire extended. That's why you call it Persian rose oil. unfortunately now the real Iran is occupied by mollas but we will take it back soon. I see waste and ignorance. The spent petals can be fed to goats which will give milk from which food and soap can be made. Of course, the soap would be scented of rose.
