In this video I show you how to diagnose a check engine alarm / horn on my 1999 Johnson 200 HP outboard motor. This alarm corresponds to a fuel restriction in your fuel lines. A fuel restriction can cause a lean condition and potentially melt pistons causes severe engine damagePotential causes for this check engine light:1. Clogged Fuel Filter2. Kinked Fuel Hose3. Failed or Bad Anti-siphon valve4. Broken fuel pick up tube5. Bad hand primer bulb (i.e. its allowing air to get in the line)6. Air in the fuel lines (a pin hole somewhere)7.
